Portman got a terrible script in the Star Wars prequels. I mean who didn't. She mostly had dialogue and as the the Red Letter videos showed in painful detail Lucas would not know how to shoot a good dialogue scene these days if he was hit on the head by a good director with a good director.
She was excellent in The Black Swan.

I haven't seen Black Swan... but still, I've honestly never been impressed by her. I will see that one though! Anyway. Ryan Reynolds buried. A film by Rodrigo Cortes, and also Buch's favourite fantasy.

Portman was terrible in the Star Wars prequels. But so was Liam Neeson, Ewan MacGregor and some other really good actors as well. A bad script plus an incompetent director who does not accept outside input leads to bad performances. I shudder to think What Lawrence of Arabia would have looked like in Lucas' hands. *shudders*
Excuse me that was a truly horrifying thought, I'll be rocking myself in a corner somewhere if anyone needs me.

Is this a good time to say that I watched BURIED the other day and loved the hell out of it? =D

I liked Liam Neeson in The Phantom Menace (I may have had a slight crush on Ewan MacGregor during Attack of The Clones, but that's irrelevant.) I've heard good things about BURIED too.
