Delighted response, enthusiastic agreement, and satisfactory echo of initial New Years sentiment! =D

Um, on the news, it's "take" not "tak" (unless you're going for some funky spelling on purpose). That said, happy new year everybody.

The Scottish accents are so beautiful (and their hatred of England so great) that Scots poets and writers sometimes phonetically spell songs and poems.

My new year started with me working til half 2 in the morning, then getting punched in the face as I waited for a bus.
How was yours?

Jesus Scarin. What job do you do that had you working over New Year's?
Mine was also horrible... but not like that. I had no plans so I stayed in with the brother and family, and had a drink qhile we watched some of the more gruesome and uncomfortable scenes from the middle of 'No Country for Old Men', which happenned to be on telly.

I had to work pizza delivery because no one could fill in for me. Of course the party I wanted to go to got canceled, so it wasn't as bad as it was going to be.

Yeesh, Scarin. That sucks. Mine was uneventful. I moved a 1,000 lb. hay bale for the herd, had a stuffed pepper for dinner, watched a basketball game, and argued with a crabby elderly corgi over who should get more of the blanket on the couch. I know. The tedium would probably kill me too if I let it.

Chantress, that one actually sounds pretty awesome! I think just because I've never done any of those things, so it sounds very exotic Still, you are winning so far. EDIT: Actually I have had a stuffed pepper for dinner, but only once, and with some very very cool and exotic people who I sadly don't see anymore.

You'd probably hate how I move hay or have me committed to the local loony bin.
To start moving the hay, I run and tackle the bale, then kick, push and shove it to where I want it (sometimes I growl at it too). Mostly, once it's moving I just have to push. That can take a while if it's been raining. The hard part is flipping it over so I can pull the netting off. It's definitely a workout though!
