The first book of his that I really tried reading was CELL. It was just about the oddest zombie story I've ever read. Still making my way through THE GUNSLINGER. Just as weird. xD

"Cell" really isn't one of his better works. I think, outside of his shorter pieces, anything after "The Tommyknockers" and "It" just isn't all that good.

I concur, the earlier works of King are excellent reading, if you ask me. And never forget Clive Barker, who truly leaves King in his wake. But read the books, dammit! Leave the TV and film stuff alone.

Yeah, aside from the first "Hellraiser" movie, Clive Barker also has a poor track record with his works on the silver screen.

I didn't even like 'Hellraiser'. It was one of the first movies I watched on the Halloween Horror Movie Education! I was kind of disappointed. Maybe just because it was really not what I expected from the title!
I saw a zombie-musical today. For real, a zombie musical. A really bad one, with a lot of heavy-handed political satire. I really, really wish I'd seen it during October so I could have included it here!

What's stopping you? It's not like this thread's going to cyber-ether after 30 days or something.
(YES! PAST 25K WORDS WITH MY BOOK AT LAST! ... And another 25K+ to go. Hey, I needed something to celebrate.)

It's always October to a man with a broken calendar!
Congrats on the 25000 words.
