I caught a recent episode of this show on Cartoon Network yesterday, and I was blown away by it. Compared to how it started out, it actually seems like a genuine Star Wars story now.
Does anyone else watch this? =O

I used to, but the animation was a big turn- off for me (and it didn't seem to have much of a story going for it back then). I don't expect everything to come out looking like "Akira", but damn, you'd think the Lucas Arts people would come up with less hideous faces!

I saw the movie / pilot of this, and I thought it was shockingly bad. Anakin had an apprentice and there was a Hutt with the voice of Truman Capote.
After that, I'm very suspiscious of this post! Is the apprentice still in it?

I think she is, but in all of the recent episodes that I've seen, she hasn't been around. The last one had exclusively Anakin and Obi-Wan, and the one I just saw was about Senator Organa trying to convince the Toydarians to allow the Republic to use their planet as a staging area to supply aid to Rylon. A Jedi was assisting with the fighting there, and he actually ended up dying. Yeah! Dying! In a cartoon! It was pretty sad, too. =O
It was sort of interesting and I like it because it doesn't talk down to kids. The episode revolved around politics, and it was an interesting morality play on the part of the Toydarians. Seems like the show initially tried to be kiddy, but found that being darker/smarter would attract the hardcore SW crowd as well. Not going to say it's the best thing evar, but it got me all excited about Star Wars while I watched it.

Arrggghhh. Clone Wars, you haunt me like a well-animated, poorly-written ghost. Anybody who has been following me on deviantArt (count: one) has heard of my increasing battle of "It's Star Wars! It's got flashy lights and Jedi and I can't resist!" vs. "This is written horribly and has Ahsoka in it." She's "the apprentice", and I firmly believe that she is a Mary Sue whom I have improved upon in my own writing (*humble expression*). However, the appeal of an alien Jedi is undeniable. So, yeah, I've been watching the third season regularly after giving up on the second (they said something about Darth Maul's brother at Celebration and I was all o.O! ) I didn't think we got to know Master Dai (or That Other Kinda Nifty Character Who Died Recently) long enough for his death to be all that tragic, although he did have a good last line. The most recent episode did have a cool bit about morality and politics, but in general the show disappoints me. That doesn't mean I'm not addicted.

I dunno, I'm still a big, big fan of cartoons. It was refreshing to watch a show on Cartoon Network that isn't Chowder or Johnny Test (both of which are incredibly lame). I thought the episodes of the Clone Wars that I saw were pretty good, and I especially liked that they weren't afraid to actually hurt/kill their characters. Seeing that Jedi die wasn't a tragedy or anything, but I was endlessly shocked that they'd actually/factually kill off a character on a Cartoon Network show.
Wasn't prepared for that. xD
And yes, Ahsoka is the incarnation of the giggling, bubbly Mary Sue I despise with all of my being.

I pretty much gave up on Cartoon Network after I stopped watching "Clone Wars" last year. I even watched the movie. Ahsoka's voice has that nails on chalkboard effect (for me).

Oh, so am I, but I have the unfortunate habit of judging everything by "Avatar: The Last Airbender." It's so good!
