Sorry, I really did try to like it, even up until the bitter end. I think most of it was the "cameraman" being such a stupid jackass. The one character I kind of liked got her head blown up after they got out of the subway, and I just kept rooting for the critters to kill them after that. Also, people impaled by rebar can NOT suddenly run through freakin' Central Park!

I liked Cloverfield. I did, too. I must have seen it 3 or 4 times in theaters. Can't attest to the characters' smarts, but the action was very unique, creepy.

Very, very good point about 'The Thing' and 'The Fly'.
Those were excellent movies.
I didn't like the Crazies remake though.

Coming to you in 3D! Sam "I'm a Crappier Actor than Ryan Reynolds" Worthington with more CGI characters, a girl with a bad bleach blonde job, and... a bouffant circa 1985.
I keep laughing at the hair. I love how it does. Not. Move. Even when he's running.
I'm also wondering why they used Marilyn Manson here. It's the one good song he did, sure, but does it really fit in with this movie? I think not.

It's "Slither" with a new title, and without Nathan Fillion. It's a shame we have to wait for Rifftrax to cover this.

I like Worthington's haircut in Wrath of the Titans. Thats a neat title too.
Is this the first time he has ever not had a military shaved head in a movie?

I'm afraid I also think Will Ferrel is funny. Anchorman, Talladega Nights and Stranger Than Fiction were great. I didn't care for the other guys really... but Michael Keaton was brilliant in it.
So in answer to your question, BC -- nerdy men in their twenties.

Did you skip watching "Prometheus" in the theatres because you wanted to see "The Avengers" instead? Fret not, you can read this "spoilerific" review on Locus until it goes to DVD: Waldrop and Person's Review of "Prometheus" (with quite a few spoilers) Some of the comments are worth reading too: "I want to know why the Engineers are so savagely hostile to mankind. I suspect they saw this movie."

A lot of people liked Prometheus, but it's always nice when I see I wasn't the only one who loathed it.
