I know, it's a children film but I've always enjoy pixar's works especially with the Toy Story series. So I've went out to see it and... let's just say by the end of the movie I feel a little sad for some reason. Not in a bad way of course but... let's just say it's something that I've didn't expect from this movie.
Also I see a totoro pushie in it. That made me squee a little bit before the movie gets... er darker again.
Anyways, did anyone see toy Story 3?

I'm going to see it next Friday. I can't wait! I watched the first two last week in anticipation. I've been a big fan of the series since 1995 (I actually got a Buzz Lightyear for christmas that year ;D)

I know this is going to sound a little over the top, but I've really really loved this movie. I hope there's a trilogy edition DVD coming out afterwards.
Oh and after I've watched Toy Story 3, I had a Toy Story marathon as a way to spend my last freetime before going back to uni at the time. Strangely enough, as an adult, not only I've still enjoyed but I've realised that Pixar did managed to sneak in a few adult jokes here and there. Like in one part where Slinky tries to convinced everyone that Woody is right, Mr. Potato Head pulls his mouth out and taps its on his backside, as a visual pun for calling him an "ass kisser."
As a kid, I've didn't get those jokes but now... I've appreciated more.

I made my own story idea for Toy Story 3 before I had even heard a third was in development. Let me see if I can dig it up.

Wow, that would have been a little grim for Pixar. I know what you mean about getting some of the jokes watching it now Till, especially Mr. Potato Head's 'laser envy' line when Buzz shows up. I'm finally gonna go see the third one on saturday with a couple of friends. We have to go all the way to Carlisle for the 3D though

Actually, Toy Story 3 is sounded that grim. I was surprised with the tone and a little startled in some of the sections since it's a children's film.
The laser envy joke is awesome and also the part where Woody yells "The word I'm looking for is... well I can't say it in front of the pre-school toys."

I thought Toy Story 3 was absolutely brilliant. I went to see it the other day and it really impressed me.
But there were some incredibly emotional moments in there, espescially the third act. And also - that monkey with the cymbals was terrifying.

Big Baby was kind of creepy as well. I loved Ken and Barbie's romance though, and that bit when they all joined hands

The joined hands bit was horrifying! I think at that point the film-makers just completely forgot what kind of movie they were supposed to be working on.

The joining hands part was... wow, I'm quite speechless about that part And the ending... it's bittersweet at best too.
