I agree, I like novels better. More content, less < POW! >Though I am interested i learning a little more about the First Contact War.

Thus far the comics have been very disappointing, far more "pow!" (nice graphic btw) than characterization. I'm willing to give this one a chance even though I'm disappointed that TIM won't remain mysterious until game three....
I just can't look at that cover without images of ME/Indiana Jones crossovers spawning in my head. "The Illusive Man and the Turian Crystal Skull."

He does have amazing hair though. Kadien would be jealous.

I've only read the first comic since it came along with the collectors edition, so I can't judge. Still I'm curious enough to see how this comic turns out, with the origins story of the illusive man. And I'm still keeping my hopes up that they are still going to keep the illusive image vague in the comics. As Nemo said before, I like to have the twist and tension of the Illusive Man's idenity in ME3, not before.

I'd prefer that the Illusive Man's identity remains... illusive even in ME3.

I prefer to call him the "cigarette man" because he smokes a lot.

I call him 'Mister Sheen'.
I like that picture, though! I guess it makes sense that he was at the First Contact War... though honestly he always seemed like a coward to me. I imagined him as some kind of businessman, not a soldier. I guess that makes him ex-Alliance.
EDIT: How come the other soldiers have to wear big Starship Troopers-style armour suits, but he gets to go around dressed like John Wayne?

Good question, Buch. I've always wanted my Shepard to wear some space biker outfit of sorts.

I'm guessing that he's not a solider in that picture but a civilian who had to fight back in order to survive.

How come the other soldiers have to wear big Starship Troopers-style armour suits, but he gets to go around dressed like John Wayne? Because he's illusive, man. It seems like it could be a cool story. I would rather play it in video game form but I guess BioWare wants that comic book money. Or an excuse to advertise their games at Comic Con.

lol I thought Indy too.
Good point - I guess his story of human-dominance-obsession begins with his colony being attacked at First Contact. Makes sense.
