From what I hear, PC Gaming is cheaper now than it ever was, provided you look in the right places.
Though I admit, I'm kind of in a phase where I've been playing on nothing but consoles lately (I've shifted through that every now and then). But I still think the PC is the best gaming platform, even though its being dominated only by Blizzard, Valve, Bethesda, and THQ at the moment.
I'm a pretty big Blizzard fan (with the exception of World of WarCraft, which I was never interested in) and I am really pumped for StarCraft II and Diablo III. I also think Bethesda's games really shine on the PC because of the user created content support. From what I hear, Mass Effect 1 and 2 also felt better being played on PC.
So are any of you interested in PC gaming?

I do it now and again, but as a general rule, I prefer console gaming. The games tend to crash less than they do on my windows XP rustbucket and I can play them from the comfort of the sofa instead of a desk, but I do enjoy a game of Sims or Civilization every once in a while.

Go PC or go home is my mantra. Okay, not really. But, I love PC gaming and I do most of my gaming on it. Most of my favourite developers? PC or started on it. BioWare, Valve, Blizzard, Relic, etc, etc.

I voted no. I really just play Xbox360 and Nintendo.
I just can't figure out PC's. I can barely get online, let alone make games work on mine. I think PC's are way too complicated. Which is fine for enthusiasts... but a pain for me!

That's fine and all Buch, it just makes me so sad that you'll be missing out on StarCraft II when it's released... it seems so right up your alley. Speaking of which, I should give StarCraft II it's own thread sometime or another.

I'd like to have tried WoW as well. Alas, my computer is useless and won't run anything above Lemmings.

I've play on most platforms when I get the chance but normally I game on PCs most of the time due to the modding community on the net. Also I have a powerhouse com, so that's given me more reasons to play on PCs like ME2, Fallout 3, etc, etc. Also I prefer to play RTS and shooter games on the PC since it felt more natrual than wiggling around on the controler but that's due my noob skils in shooting stuff on consoles.
There are exceptions though. There are certain games I've prefer on consoles, either they are excusives or I don't trust a PC port, as I've learnt the hard way with Fable 1 back then.
While we're on the topic of Blizzard, I'm not a big fan of them, especially after my stint in WoW but... I'll tip my hat them for knowing how to make good games and trailers. I'm looking forward for Diablo 3 and SC2 looks interesting...
But I like to see the results first before buying games. it's one of my general thumb rules I followed after my mistake in buying nwn2 before checking out the reviews a few years back.

PCs are nice, but I prefer consoles. I just can't keep up with the system upgrades. I'm poor man. I got a SC2 beta invite but I only have dial-up, so me is a sad panda Also, torrents.
