I think I know enough about the debacle to not see an entire documentary over it. Still, could be interesting.

I definitely want to watch this, mostly because that very question has bugged me for a long time. When George Lucas made the prequels, he made a lot of people angry, but did they really have that right? It was his story, after all. When do you get to that point where you almost have no say over your own work anymore?
I compare this loosely to the Bible. The Old Testament (the original trilogy) set up a standard that many people followed, and the New Testament (the prequel trilogy) made a lot of people angry and divided the religion. Now we have Jews and Christians, and neither of them are very fond of each other. Sounds familiar.
I wanna watch this. xD

I'd like to see that for sure. I dunno about the 'his story, his rules' excuse. I mean, he made bad sequels to his story. It's not his fault that we invested so much emotion in it, but he buggered it up and we were sad. But - I really don't lke the phrase 'Raped my childhood'. (First of all, rape is made into a comical concept far too often these days.) But the point is - Lucas GAVE us that childhood. If he took it away.... when we were in our twenties and thirties... then that's a shame, but we still owe him. Also - much as I go on about the prequels, I've watched them several times. I like the third one quite a bit. And Knight, you reminded me so much of this-

I really don't see why fans are so upset with the prequels. I guess it's just not what they were expecting exactly. But whatever I like the prequels and I think they're good.
Go ahead rip me apart.

Go ahead rip me apart. lol! Wouldn't do that to you. I actually liked the prequel trilogy myself, and I'd take Revenge of the Sith over Return of the Jedi any day. But my frustration about the prequel trilogy centers around how this was such an important event. There will never be another opportunity like this again: the one that George had in creating these movies. And I really don't think he delivered in all the ways he could have. The romance was weak, the philosophy was kept at a minimum, and Episode II kinda derailed. Again, not bad movies, but I can't imagine how I would feel if I had been one of those fans who waited twenty years for this trilogy. I'd be mad, too. "Then your love has blinded you..." Suddenly were trying to be Shakespeare here. xD

I think I would say I LIKE the prequel trilogy.... but I really don't think they're 'good'. To me they are a big, big disappointment. Mainly my hatred stems from Jar Jar, the CGI, Hayden Christensen and the dodgy dialogue (particularly the 'romance'). But yeah. I'm not going to rip anyone apart either. I like the movies. -- And yeah! That confusing as hell 'love' dialogue in Episode 3 really is trying for Shakespeare, isn't it?! I never thought of that! I love how after a few lines, Anakin just gets confused and gives up xD

lol! It really did seem like that. Shakespeare dueling.
Oh, and let's not forget Obi-Wan's most awesomest line in Episode II:
"Anakin, why do I get the feeling that you're going to be the DEATH of me?!"
HAWW!
