Generally wigan men are so high or anniberated they can't form sentences to bitch at you like a Bolton man but they do piss there pants and thats one step further than pissing in the sink. At least Bolton men have higher hygene values. Less hoodie/track suit wearing people in Bolton to. Better high schools.

This barely counts as news, but its still an announcement that I'd like some feedback on;
I've decided; the next time I go home, I'm going to tell my parents the truth.
What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea? Have to do it some time, so might as well do it soon? Words of advice?

Hard to say on the good idea/bad idea front. It will probably be a huge relief to not have to be secretive about yourself and your life anymore. Usually the parents take it better than the person is expecting. But your parents do seem to be pretty... crazy.
If it is going to be told, then it is better to tell it sooner rather than later. How will this effect your rent problems at Uni? That is the main worry for me.
Does your sister know yet? How is she going to take it?
-
I hope it goes well, and I commend you for it. I think it's likely for the best.
As for advice, be confident and not hostile toward them. Make it clear you are serious and you know what you're doing, and why you want them to know.

For the money side of it, I spoke to an advisor at Uni, and there are facilities available for students without money. It might not be easy, but I should still have places to turn, should it come to it.
And no, my sister doesn't know yet. I don't know if I should tell her first or not... I don't think she'll take it easily either.

Good that you will survive at Uni. I was worried about that.
Good luck with coming out. It might be awful- but it might not.

Thanks. ^^
Its probably still a good few weeks off, though... most likely December time. Unless I have to go home before the christmas break.

I was wondering about this earlier. Couple of days now? Well, I really hope it goes well, Chief. Please let us know - and if it is terrible there will be virtual hugs and cookies and the like.

It's done.
I broke down straight away, and they had to go through a whole list of possible things that might be wrong with me (are you pregnant? is it your health??) before they guessed. They weren't angry, but I do get the impression they are disappointed in me.
Then it was all "Well, how can you be sure?" stuff, and they both seem to think that it might just be a passing phase. They don't think I should tell the rest of the family, either.
I'm glad its done, but I also don't think I've heard the last of it.
