Don't worry, there won't be spoilers to Mass Effect 2. You can all come out and stop cowering in fear of the spoiler reaper.
*ahem*
Anyways, BioWare just anounced a new novel comming out around this year. Yep, it's written by Drew Karpyshyn. You heard me. 1000 credit bet it's based before the events in ME3, knowing the release date of the novel is a few months AFTER the realease of ME2.
Retribution is set in the universe fans know well from the video game and novel series—one in which humanity has explored the very farthest reaches of the universe, only to discover the ruthless Reapers, a race bent on extinguishing all organic life. One man is bent on discovering the Reapers' secrets, the mysterious Illusive Man, the leader of a pro-human, black ops group, Cerberus. And he's devised the perfect plan: implant a human subject with Reaper technology in order to study the enemy.
He also has the perfect test subject—Paul Grayson, an ex-Cerberus operative. Grayson betrayed Cerberus in order to save his daughter. So when Grayson is kidnapped and made the subject of Cerberus' evil experiments, the Illusive Man will finally have his revenge..
So yeah, there's some news that aren't to spoilish... kinda a bit slow, you reckon?

Well, it certainly seems like they're pimping the hell out of Cerberus. Hopefully they'll find some new material to shed some light on, because I have a feeling I'm going to get tired of Cerberus sooner or later.

I'm not so quick to judge on this. I'll wait and see what happens with the Cerberus thing in ME2. So far, I'm a little concern how the story goes: Shepard made face turn heel and joined Cerberus. It didn't matter if Shepard is a alien sympathsis, s/he thou must join Cerberus to save humanity before shit hits the roof. How is that going to work?
Shouldn't Cerberus be concerned about Sheprd's intentions while they are working 'together'? Well I'm not in the mood for speculations and decontructions until I've see the whole game.
As for the book, I've wanted to facepalm at the Illusive Man and Cerberus again for making ANOTHER stupid experiment. Seriously, are they genre savy blind about the whole 'deadlier than dead' live experiments without the safety proceedures. Have ever thought about the consenqunces of doing this shit will bite them back HARD someday? I've think not.

So did anybody else predict that Cerberus was going to use Reaper tech at some point? I didn't think they would implant it in humans but I did see they were going to use Reaper tech for a few months now.

I've expected Cerberus would pull that one out of their asses or front yard if you want to be technical (Citadel = front yard), ages ago.
My next prediction that Shepard is a cyborg all along in the likes of terminator and Cerberus shoved some reaper tech inside of him/her. Not only to use it againist the Reapers but also to spread their propaganda to make humanity the dominant species of the galaxy. Yes, I'm pulling that one right out of... my hat. Concidering Cerberus likes to screw around with some of the hazard shit that is outside of the worksafe protocols and BioWare seem to love to turn Shepard into their little buttmonkey, I'll be half surprised by it... really.

Hmm... I honestly wouldn;t put it past them. But my money is against them doing something similar to Shepard.
Maybe it would be kind of cool to have Shep implanted with Reaper-bits - considering Saren was too. It would make them parallels even more.
