I got the Borderlands dlc yesterday! It's a nice break from the usual opponents and bleak terrain. It's very similar to L4D, with various special zombies and parts where you have to hold off a horde while waiting for something like a lift. It was fun on my own, but I think coop would've been even better! I give it a 8.5/10!

For gods sake. I'm sick and tired of zombie hordes. Fuck off. Everybody got a zombie horde. Even Saints row 2 has zombie hordes. Someone pleae for the love of all things squishy and vaguelly amusing... kil- fire the dickwad on your production teams that comes up with a zombie horde idea. They're unintellgient, inbred children of fungus pools.
..... Game industry needs a good spanking.

Well said Zars!
I am so goddamn sick of zombies.* And this from a guy who loves zombies. It just seems like the last few years, pop culture said to itself, 'Fuck it, let's do zombies from now on.'
I'm sick of watching them, sick of killing them, sick of running from them, sick of seeing from their perspective. Sick of zombies.
* I realize I wrote a fanfic about zombies recently.

Mock Effect sums up about the zombie thing, as I've recalled. And I've still haven't touched Borderlands! I blame DA: O for that. I've kept messing around with my character and playthroughs and what not. Guess I'm still an old school RPG player at heart I'll try to play borderlands soon. Just to see the fuss all about. I have a feeling I'll have the same reaction to Borderlands as I've did with Too Human before...

*Sigh* I'm so not looking forward to the zombies in Mass Effect 2 either.... I'm just hugely disappointed at the Games industry.

Zombies are the least your disappointments in the Games Industry.
My biggest gripe in the games industry is lack of artistic output imo.
We don't see too many games that are satirical like Fallout 1 and 2, interesting as Okami (progress the world through your magical paint strokes? It's better than it sounds forks...) or quirky as Portal. The point is that most of the game are really on the safe side. Understandable in their perspective when it comes to cut and dry marketing. Sure, add another shooter into the market but for FUCKS SAKE, give me a good reason why I should buy your game. If it's some unique or interesting like Team Fortress 2 or Mass Effect, then yes I will by it due to the interesting elements and twists in the games mechanic and theme. If it's another ho-hum shooter like Borderlands (with minor elements like lvling up and add more weapons...) Then seriously, I'm not going to buy another same old shit for fucking like $114 Aus dollars. If I want some fun multiplayer shooter, there's CoD4 or team Fortress 2 already for me to indulge my enjoyment.
The storyline in Borderlands is quite shithouse to be honest from what I have heard according to my friend. If Borderlands has a very interesting story that beats the shit out of Fallout 3 and on the Par with Mass Effect, then I would buy it (or play it sooner since it's already on my com...). The point is that I want more games to be more unique and interesting. Stop copy cat other people and do your own shit... like what you're good at. Oh and while we're at it... STOP USING BROWN AS REAL for graphics!

Oh Tilly. I want to marry you.
I agree with everything there. Maybe we should all write plots for stories and send it to games companies. I'm sure we have more creative minds than there limp writers.
And down with brown!

2nd. Down with Brown ad it rhymes well. All it needs a visual pun to do so.
Man... I've been ranting a lot than I've should... not sure it's a good thing or not. How I'll keep my mout shut when I get back into Uni. Adding Media cultures 2 into my class semester didn't helped, knowing my professor this year will make everyone write out journals about the mainstream media crap... and it's poses a good opotunity for me to abuse it by snarking up...
