Well didn't really know where to put this so I'll put it here. I just went to the Mass Effect website and apperently like Dragon Age if you preorder the game you get a special armor. Only if you preorder at GameStop you get the Terminus Assault Armor and Blackstorm weapon. If you preorder anywhere else you get the Inferno Armor.
I don't know which one I want yet.

I've never even heard of them so I don't know what there specs are. I'll probably just go with amazon pre-order anyway.

I really think it's terrible that we have to pre-order to get game content.
This is the problem with having extra content as expansions and DLC. It leads to this kind of bull. If I'm paying fifty pounds for the game, give me the whole damn game. On Megaman 9 on Xbox Live, you can pay extra for a harder difficulty. Fuck off. For Soul Calibur 4, you pay extra for a character you get for free on the other console. Normally I avoid this stuff like the plague.
I don't even know what GameStop is, so maybe I will just buy the regular one and not encourage this crap.

Well, I don't like game shop and there's isn't one in Melbourne Central and I've pre-ordered at EB.
...
Screw it. I'm not going to pre-order at Games shop. I reckon they should shove all the special content into one Special Edition package. No offence, but this is a cop out really.

It sure is. Like where they've taken the best characters for Marvel alliance 2 and split them up into different pre-order packs at different stores. They leave you witht he choice of which one do you want the most rather than getting all of them for an all mighty team. Of course they'll let you have the other characters but only if you pay for it through MS points normally about 800 a pop. I can see them pulling that on us. I refuse to buy DLC anymore, its getting ridcuklous. Soon they will sell you half a game and make you pay more than the normal cost of a single new release through DLC. If Mass Effect 2 tries to pull that on me I'm going to demand a refund and a public apology for good measure.

And I'm still waiting for my special edition for ME2. What's up with it btw? My friend told me that they should have the "Special" edition announced by now. So yeah... I smell fishy...

Not bad. On one hand the animations are nice but on the other hand I'm a little disappointed no offence but...
I was hoping for some tech or more biotic abilities to show off to the crowd.

Well that is beyond stupid. I'm having serious doubts about this game.

Whoa, I hope Shepard drives a car through the front door of the C-Sec Academy.
It's just a Halloween prank as well.

I'm not so sure it's a prank. One of the main criticisms against the first Mass Effect was the lack of distinction between good and evil-doing (evil-doooo). As illustrated in Mock Effect, doing something on the evil side typically equated to semi-harsh language and a slight shove.
That picture just screamed a KotOR-type alignment system where your choices affect your physical appearance. If it was just a prank, then I would be very, very surprised. I can tell they're probably gonna be reaching back to the KotOR days for inspiration far more than we'd like.
It wasn't really stupid to me. It was definitely odd, and I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm still very much on the fence about it, but I'm sorta feeling better about Dragon Age: Origins, in recent news. xD
So far, on my must-buy list:
Fallout: New Vegas Assassin's Creed II (Unless the problems from the first game have carried over.) Dragon Age: Origins Mass Effect II (Pending Reviews) World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (Depending on whether or not I reactivate my account.)
