I need help reaching a decision. I really want this; ( link), but as you'll notice, it's £70. Bearing in mind I have over £600 of rent to pay on the 24th of this month, leaving around £300 for food and stuff until my student grant comes through, which might take a while... Should I?

I was planning on getting the black edition too, but £70 for a game, even with an action figure, is a bit much for me. A few months after the game is released, all the things will probably be on ebay anyway, and they might release the extra locations as DLC,

I'm not sure how much yer typical British games run, or if that edition is a deal or not (new, standard Xbox games over here are $59.99). But! Getting the super special edition really depends on how much you loved the first game. I played it for a bit and thought it was just okay, and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves assassin-type stories and games. Getting the special edition is out of the question for me, but if you totally, unequivocally loved the first game then I see no reason why you shouldn't get the nice edition.
That Black Edition has some pretty nice features, I must say. =O

You might have to live on cold beans for a while, but I think you have to indulge yourself from time to time. If you could use a treat, go for it.

Rascarin they're saying people might not get their loans until january but you can always apply to your university for a hard times fund. But £70 for a gane? With an action figure? Girl you crazy. I'd never spend anything above £45. Then again I'm buying a house and carry around voer £100 in credit note for games stores. I am frugal at the moment.
And Knighty... $59.99 a game? You lucky bastards! Thats about £30 here, if the currency rate is the same today.

Holy crap, upon further investigation of the conversion rate, I would have to advise against it. Just not worth it. All that extra stuff for the game will just end up in the closet. Just like my Starfox Adventures bobblehead. =O

Just like the those bonus movies, entire series of Exscalbur and the commentary DVD's that came with my Babylon 5 pull out box trove. There were only 50 made supposedly. I had to have it. But at least it was only £89.99. I got it on sale. Weee. Originally it was £169. I'm a good bargain hunter like the gym equpiment I bought last year. I found this place closing down and got a multi-gym that was £399 everywhere else for something like £79. I'm stil uber annoyed about how cheap stuff is over in the USA though. Sometiems I buy stuff from the America's when its useable. I got a DS from america ages ago and when i got bored with it (we had two at the time) I traded it in and got more than I bought if for bacjk. Thats how freakin cheap it was. Take a look at PS3 prices! I would let Daniel have one if they were that price here! Argh and its not even compatiable over here for shipping one. Oh and Rock band. Its something ridculous like $100 cheaper. What the hell? They really do think they can take us for a ride. No wonder the economy has gone down the drain. I blame stupid business straegy like that.

Wow didn't realize how expensive it is over there. Oh well I don't usally complain about game prices. I usually don't either, but it's been very hard for me to find games that even justify the $60 price tag. I almost bought The Force Unleashed for full price, but got an awesome deal on it for $14. I kid you not, if I had bought it full price, I probably would have had an aneurysm. For instance: I'll definitely be buying Fallout: New Vegas and Mass Effect 2 full price, no questions asked. But games like Brutal Legend...I might wait a bit on (even though I'm sure it'll be great).

I will probably wait a little on Mass Effect 2 unless I can secure a good deal online. Amazon or play.com normally come through for more and I get 5% off. If I can get it for £35 or lower I'm gonna go for that but if its full retail at £50 or whatever its gonna be, no way. I've got bills and plenty of them and a meagre student loan. I have no idea how students can live on what they give us because seriously my loan just about covers my rent and half the utilities and I am not a spend-o-holic. Thank god for disability allowance and part-time jobs.

If its only ten cheaper then whats the point? I'll pay more than that for the DLC. Stupid Microsoft. Stupid points. Stupid DLC coming out on launch. That defeats the purpose it should be IN the game!

Once again, I completely agree with Zarsthor. People are really starting to take the piss with DLC and additional content. You don't just use it to charge a few extra bucks. I don't like 'episodic' games either - buy each level seperately! Hell no.
