So some lawsuits walked to Sony and gave them threats about the feature with the ingame chat and custom music that causes their certain game (*cough*Harry Potter and the order of the Pheonix) to be malfunctiong. The threats involved in pulling their support from the console. Hence there's a reason why the ingame chat and the custom music settings are missing from the 3.0 firmware... the latest version. www.thesixthaxis.com/2009/08/27/cross-game-chat-they-are-working-very-hard-on-it/For since the intel droped a bomb in the offical PS3 forums... guess what happens next. forum.ea.com/eaforum/forums/show/3607.pageSo after the sub-par DLC with ME and the mobile game, along with this... guys, if I'm going to make a RPG game studio for myself. Remind me not to sign up for some publishing back from EA. Instead I'll go for Ubisoft if the oppotunity and sucess raises. I'm starting to wonder if BioWare made the wrong choice about this... (don't get me wrong, the DLC is ok... but I've find it a bit rushed tbh... executive meddling I assumed?)

I'm convinced they have. Bioware were doing just fine before they involved themselves with E.A. Better than fine.
I've heard nothing but bad things about E.A. as a company and their disregard for the actual quality of their games. I just hope Mass Effect 2 is undamaged by this.

I've noticed this tread since the Sonic Choronicles game.
I just as paranoid as you Buch when it comes to both ME2 and Dragon Age. (I've pre-ordered those games... you know how daunting is feels...)
Normally I've just shrug it off anf think "Yep... EA got sand in their ... well the girly tunnel again, don't care" but ever since BioWare is picked up by Ea... I'm starting to be feel a sense of worry. a worry to the point that I'm reconcidering asking for jobs after I've graduate, originally I'm planning to apply for BioWare but.. things have changed for the worse. There's a really good chance I'm concidering going indie and start up a studio and try to stay hidden under EA's radar.
Despite BioWare trying to reassure us that they will not be affected by it... I can't help feeling something is not quite right... The bad rep from EA didn't help either.

That is very worrying. I thought they got picked up by a different company. Oh well ill informed moi as usual. lol Well at least mass Effect 2 is a sequel and already has most of its components ready from Mass Effect 1. EA can't corrupt those. They seem pretty much done with the bulk of ME2 anyway so I'm sure theres only a minimal amount of damage EA can inflict. maybe they'll just piss on the MAKO a little.
Oh and Tilly. Offer still stand as a sound effect/Music member of your indie team. lol

Oh yes, that Sonic Chronicles thing was meant to be crap as well. Very ominous.

More news in regards to the PS3 fiasco kotaku.com/5347123/is-ea-holding-back-ps3-cross+game-voice-chatThe bitching is a lie let's just say. Both Ea and Sony responded that it's not true and far from "no response" comment. Guess EA is getting a bit better but still, ME 2nd DLC and some of the shitty decision that EA did made in the pass couple of months. I know they started to support games like Mirror's Edge but still. until ME2 and Dragon Age comes out without any sort of crap... I'm taking a grain of salt.
