Sometimes I get really bored and I don't feel like writing. I swear this is true - I was idly wondering about staying up for a while and about to click off my internet when the following window RANDOMLY appeared on my screen. I didn't click a damn thing I promise. So I signed up, and I am considering playing this thing all night. Yeah I thought I was being really clever naming myself 'Lord' Buch, but it turns out a lot of the users all had the same idea. Here on this chat I can see countless Lords and Ladies, including my favourites, 'Lady Bella' and 'Lord DICK'. -- -- So this is the game. We have a town (which I re-named from 'Town' to 'Buchsville') a sneering, arrogant looking avatar of me, a whole lot of buttons, no tutorial and a chatroom. The chatroom is full of people asking what on Earth they are supposed to do, people asking for allies, people trying to hook up romantically, and an overwhelming amount of people who are disappointed that 'the chick from the ad' is not present in the game. I don't know what to do here, so I'm going to press some buttons.

You have been corrupted.
Please quarantine yourself within the house; a flamethrower squad will be with you soon, to purge you with fire.

Scarin, this is fantastic fun. I already own 5002... bars... of gold, what appears to be a town and about an acre of grass! I think, frankly, me and the villagers here ought to expand. We are not making the best of our land.

If I didn't have plans for tomorrow, I WOULD travel to Bolton, hunt you down, and kick you in the shins.

You mean travel to Bolton, ask for the richest Lord in town and then ask me for tips, right? Okay, big update folks. I have completed my first quest! It was 'build a cottage'. I did. My town now has in it a cottage and a town hall. Now I am utterly stuck. -- -- So, after some fumbling around I have discovered that Buchsville is located between two large, derelict cities and with easy access to a river. Good thinking by whoever found the location for me. Also, I am looking to build more stuff. Look at this! This game is really educational! Every button has one of these cool history lessons attached to it. And every minute has a commenter demanding to know what has become of the elusive cleavage.

Four or five different people have each claimed to BE Barbara Enovy Tara now. Frankly I'm not sure I believe any of them. I have built a collection of cottages in two little communities which the locals will call the 'East Side' and the 'West Side'. I am hoping there will be rivalries and gangs and stuff. I have also built a sawmill and a farm outside in the expanse we have here. But I am completely out of wood. I was about to give up when I realised I could levy a tax, thereby forcing my penniless villagers to hand over all their wood. The strangest, and yet the most masterful tax ever. ...... .......... ............... Half an hour later------ Well I think I have now realised that this particular stupid joke has gone on too long! My computer is all slowed down too. But let it be known that the game is actually not that bad. I built some stuff and I learned about the origins of Academies. Now I'm going to shut the hell up, go to bed and skulk away in embarassment.

Buch this is awesome. When I first played this when it was called Civony I had level 7 walls and my town center was at like level 6 or something. I had a shit load of stuff and I started building a 2nd city.... Cause you know you can build up too like 5 different cities.
But yes it is not a bad game, I've tried other games like this online and this was the best one. It's just the false advertisement that makes us dislike it.

Nice insight into the game. Now we know it's all false advertising.
But damn Buch... looks like you've been exuated from the LP session from the looks of it.
I could do a LP session to help out but my patient runs dry when it comes to rts. I'm really bad at them.

More like a shout out there. Big differnace in shout out and ripping off. Btw I did the shout out to Mock effect in the LP Mass Effect: part 2. And yeah I think the sandman made your mind go fuzzy... I think scarin is pretty pissed about it though...

I noticed the shout out about Seth Green- the Robot Chicken and Austin Powers thing. There were a few bits in there I wished I'd thought of when I wrote Mock Effect.
Scarin did seem pretty pissed off... which is why I carried on with it for so long. I'm like a child.

Just remember Buchy. I'm only 10 minutes away from Bolton... I can and will find you. Mwhahahaha*Cough*hahaha Ok I'm done sounding like a freaky stalker. I'm tempted to play this for a few minutes... I was playing Sims 1 last night for hours. I suddenly realized after the 4th hour the game was a piece of shit and I was wasting good Gears of War 2 time. *Sigh* I have an essay to write.
