I want a neurotic turian, who is gifted at tech to the point he or she gives the quarians a run for their money, but totally easily gets distracted and a big obsession with bling.

I want a Krogan to be who uses his brutish looks to decieve people, making them think he is thick but he's very cunning. think Letho of Gulet...except a space battle toad. This or a krogan who's settled down and become a family man since the genophage was cured'd be cool. Also, there should be a running gag of your pilots dying real easy, in contrast to Joker's guaranteed survival . Like you go through 4 of them throughout the trilogy.

We needed more Jenkin's TBH. They could've been the Carmine's from Gears of War in Mass Effect.

A significant Elcor NPC voiced by Andre Braugher.

You know what else would be pretty cool? A human companion with a non English language accent. It'd make humanity seem more diverse. Sometimes in the originally trilogy, it feels like the Alliance is just the space-faring branch of the US Armed Forces (with a lot of Canadians thrown into the mix.)
You could even have a Russian squadmate, possibly with a surname inspired by a cosmonaut, as a contrast to how Shepard (and supposedly the protag of Andromeda) are named after US astronauts. (Plus, how great if one of the LGBT love interests was Russian?)

Hey, if Dolph was in the game, we could finally get the graphic penetration scenes BioWare games have been building up to:

Delay confirmed. According to a blog post the game won't be out until 2017. They are making a lot of the same noises they were making prior to releasing DA:I. I'm going to accept that as a good sign for now. With this taking place in a different galaxy they should be able to establish some newish lore that is free from the inconsistent mess they created in the second and third installments and start fresh. Looking forward to it, but I know now more than before that I need to upgrade this crate I'm playing games on to really get something out of this.

I think we all knew without being told it would be that long. They haven't even shown us any official gameplay yet. AFAIK this is the first they have actually admitted that a holiday release this year was out of the question.

I want to know how the fuck we somehow got to the Andromeda Galaxy, 2.5 Million lightyears from our own galaxy. Especially given the limitations of FTL travel explicitly made to ensure the relays were a basic requirement for interstellar civilization that was a huge point in the original trilogy. And if they go the "big-ass relay that can make the jump" like the Conduit/Citadel, they can eat a bag of dicks since intergalactic relays would require more dark matter than is theorized to be in the entirety of our galaxy.

Pretty sure the relays need to be linked too, otherwise the frictionless space that they theorize would not be possible. And if it was there would be very little to stop them from overshooting their target. Remember, the conduit was also 2 linked relays.
If we are going with an Ark ship concept as I had heard speculated somewhere, then perhaps we are looking at a low above lightspeed ship that takes a couple of hundred years to get out there. Highly implausible but more or less what we are looking at right now to get out of this rather small pond we are in. Err scratch that, as that time frame requires running at least 1000x C to get there. So experimental wormhole gate maybe?

This is why I would never write an original sci-fi. You get called out on your bullshit more, plus all that research into fucking physics and shit.
I can see why a lot of people prefer to write the fantasy genre more. Least you can get away if you say "A wizard did it". If you try to say "A space wizard did it" in a sci-fi, there's a lot of nerd rage thrown around, especially those who had a degree in science, engineer, IT, whatever you have.

They pulled an Interstellar and The Power of Love between Shepard and their love interest was so strong they were able to harness it and send a ship to a different galaxy using it.
