I know Bethesda have a pretty good track record with DLC, but you should be at least a little wary about it. I think they revealed/started selling the Season Pass while being extremely vague on what's in it. Even Arkham goddamn Knight told people what they would get it they put down £40.

Canning the weapon degradation is one thing, but I'm not too keen with the new skill system. Sure it kinda work in Skyrim, but I missed the endless ways of building your character, to the point I installed the mods back in that has all the class and racial stats, along adding an improved perk system mod that actually adds more depth and complexity. I have a question: What's wrong with the old skill system in fallout? I'm being sincere here. Nothing in the older classic games where every point counted. With Fallout 3 and to a lesser extent NV it was kinda shoehorned in. You had to get your points in 25 point increments for them to matter and the changes were not very noticeable until you did. This is the argument they are making and I kinda see where they are coming from. I don't really like that they are doing this but I am not completely change adverse. I disagree. I thought having to keep your weapons in good condition was a very survivaly post apocalypse thing. Plus it was hardly System Shock 2 level annoying. I thought it had a good balance in New Vegas, with the repair kits and the Jerry Rigging perk. Valid. I'm going to chalk it up to personal taste though. One person's fun game element can be another's annoyance. You like it, I don't. It could have been made a game option.

I see. Well, I ain't going to count the chickens yet, since this whole thing has not been hatched. I hear it's coming out really soon, but I'm not going to get the game on day 1 like I did with Skyrim and NV this time.
Besides, I've blew a good chunk of dosh into my PC. So yeah, I'm sitting this one out until it hits the bargain bin.

Fallout 4 is confirmed to have a fully voiced dumbass protagonist if your character's intelligence is low enough.
Fuck. Yes.

What would be even better is if you use Charisma as a dump stat which nearly everyone does and boost Int you get a character with Sheldon Cooper's personality and everyone hates you.

Everyone does? I always pumped charisma to win speech checks!

I did qualify that statement with the word nearly Clint. And winning speech checks in Fallout 3 up is easy by pumping speech, in the classic games I think you needed both for best results.

And having a decent stat of Luck means something too in the old games.

Still good for something in NV, Fallout 3 not so much.
