Alright everyone. This is me losing my mind during my unemployment and watching children's tv-shows and seeing connections that aren't there.
So to combat my madness I will share it with you. Case in point, I believe that Pippi Longstocking is actually a child whose mother was from Krypton, hence my dramatic title "daughter of Krypton".
I will elaborate on my theory in this topic.
First and obviously, Pippi shares many powers with our more well known Kryptonian examples like Kal-El/Superman, Zodd, Supergirl and so on.
Pippi has super strength, can fly and has a super breath thing. Also much like Golden Age/Silver Age Superman, Pippi can get new powers if the plot demands it so. Now since Pippi is still quite young, her powers aren't as developed as Supes or Zodd so in time they would further develop.
Likewise she fought against swashbuckling pirates and apparantly fire-arms do not seem to scare her (In her home of Villa Villekulla, she actually has a loaded gun upstairs). Now I dont need to remind you during firefights people can get hurt or killed. However not only is she not phased by this and her father, who left her the Villa, kept loaded weaponry around her. Now any respecting father wouldnt want to lead their child into danger...unless said child is unaffected by said weaponry in the past.
Second, Pippi claims her mother is in heaven, I got my own theory on that. Now we know Pippi is stronger than her father, who is a famed pirate and explorer. So during these travels Captain Efraïm Longstocking could have met his future wife during one of his adventures or...could have found a life pod where Pippi was in.
Now if we look at Efraïm and Pippi, we see both father and daughter dont really share the same hair colour. So we can speculate two things. One being both are not related by blood (thus lending some credence Captain Longstocking took Pippi in as a baby) or that the redhead gene thing did kick off when Pippi's parents had her. However I am inclined to believe that Pippi is actually a full Kryptonian like Kal-El.
I'm going with the theory that Pippi is actually a found Kryptonian since what we know from her mother is very little. Pippi only knows her mother lives in heaven (Three guesses where Krypton is) and thats it. So the mother wasn't there for long or at all during her upbringing. Likewise her ragged clothing suspects that no mother was there to make proper clothes. I dont want to be sexist here, just going with the times.
Also Kryptonians are very hard to kill so it wouldn't make sense for her mother to indeed to have died. Then again you could argue her mother did leave and the reason why Captain Longstocking moves around a lot so they dont get caught. And since the pirate crew know her all their lives it's no wonder they kept quiet about the space pod thing.
Two schools of thought here and neither could be wrong.
Just my two cents.
