Sounds good to me. Remember to buy your subscription online because Microsoft charges to much for it. Theres a place you can buy 12 month sub and MS points from that send them as an e-mail toy ou directly and they're really cheap.

Best to get that sorted out. I once tried to buy groceries on an unactivated card. It was mildly embarrassing and I had to call hubby to come pay for me. It was the banks fault though. they sent me my new card and didn't write ont eh letter anywhere that I needed to activate it. lol

Writer's block, eh... I find the best thing is to not force it, and read something that might inspire you.
How's the battle with the block going now Tilla?

Writer's block is terrible, but the Englishman is right. Sometimes the best remedy for ze block is taking a couple days off. Read what you want to read. Play games when you want to play games. Also, sometimes, writing something spontaneously that's unrelated to your main project helps. Something that you don't even have to try and write.

So far my writing spirit is chugging along nicely but here's an advice...
If you ran into your very early fan fics, for the love of puppies, DON'T read it. It's a mood killer.
Recently, I've stumbled into my very first fan fic... after skimming it though, I've decided to call it a night on my current fan fic I'm working on. Let's just say comparing between "White Rose of the Normandy" and "Thug Love" to this fic... it's a big improvement. I'm so glad I've didn't post this on ff.net or here. It will probably stop me from writing ME fan fic and go underground for a while if I've did post this up.
Such a embarrassment.

I would never have the guts to post any work I did anywhere. If I ever do get a creative spark(probably will not happen) I would likely test run it here. Nice people here.

That's true. Someone said it once that "your first fan fic will be the worse one of the bunch." Two years later, that person proved me right. At least I've tired to write it in a co-hierant way, but my first fic was full of glaring flaws that it's almost unrecognisable, to the point I've could have mistaken for a tween that write down her own self-insert wish fulfillment down on paper.
As for this forums, as you said, I like to test run fics on here first, since everyone is nice and they give out good and reliable criticisms. Much more than ff.net. I've only run into a few reliable reviews on that website... but it's damn rare.

jklinders' has the right of it. If you don't actually WRITE, you can't improve. Maybe one day I will get the guts to put pen to pap... er, fingers to keyboard, and make some of my ideas real (god help me, and you).

I wrote a lot this weekend, and I blame it on two things:
1) reading a very good novel very quickly beforehand, and
2) being in a place with no internet for three days. Lack of distractions, and things potentially more entertaining than your own writing, does wonders.
Being with friends who are encouraging or--if one may be so lucky--write fan fiction themselves is also invaluable.

That's pretty good, having these things helps to keep the writing mood up.
Also speaking of that, reading "How not to write a novel" does help the mood to. It's quite snarktacular mind you...
