Eh, I don't have a problem with it. I once heard it phrased this way, and it made it a lot easier. I think it was regarding KOTOR II: You're going to playing this game for awhile. Think about it. Whose butt would you rather be looking at for those hours on end?

Whose butt would you rather be looking at for those hours on end? I don't have a problem playing as a female charry in video games. In some genres, such as fighting games, I actually prefer female characters since I prefer speed and skill to brute strength. Plus there's the eye candy appeal. lol

I do understand the eye candy appeal, but still...meh. Dont know, I really cant get into it. I'm not gay or anything, i just think mle characters look more bad ass. Anyway, i think we went off topic here for a bit.
So anyway i found this you lot might like.
Or hell, my Immortal.

HL:FLC doesn't belong here! This is the bad fanfiction section! It's rightful home is surely in this thread!

I can play both male and female, but usually I play female PC in RPGs if given the chance. The only time I've played as a male is DA2 surprisingly. The VA is not that great but... when I've made a Cillian Murphy look-a-like, the male!Hawke grows on me a little. Female!Hawke is just meh for me for some reason. All I can say is depending on the VA if that's where RPGs are heading in the future. If the Female VA sound too grating for my ears, I'll go male. As Clint said, with silent PC, I go for the female counterpart because it's pleasing for my eyes after a few hours. A nice VA is a bonus though... like FemShep. Anyways, you want some classically bad fics? Here's some from the toxic barrel of the FFVII fandom. Chocobo NightsCloud mows the lawnAll of them are in MST format for sanity sake.

My girlfriend also picked MaleHawk because of the voice and the beard. Oh man, the beard.... Also I would like to say I like fictional female bad asses such as Xena or Spider-Woman or FemShep in case anyone thinks I think female characters cant be bad ass.

I don't know... the beard doesn't suit the actual voice for maleHawke imo. In fact the default male hawke reminds me of the Sheriff of Nottingham in "Robin Hood: Men in Tights."

Not nearly as funny as Alan Rickman.

Well, glad I did. About time someone opened their eyes and realised how difficult it is to take Hawke seriously.

One of the internet reviewers, AngryJoe, pointed this out to me. but to be honest, your sort of forced to play the default Hawke kinda lie your forced to play default Shepard because everythug else you make most of the time...well kinda sucks.

Well, glad I did. About time someone opened their eyes and realised how difficult it is to take Hawke seriously. Which is why I played as super snark Hawke. Fit his VA perfectly. Hearing him comment to the magistrate about how juggling small rodents to Orlesian ballads nearly made me die laughing.

I agree - Hawke simply must be a habitual joker. A third of his dialogue options are jokes and the (male) actor plays it with such a laid-back voice that you're bound to come up with a lot of gags. But every character in that game, save Fenris, was joking all the time. It was like Dragon Age written by Joss Whedon (in a hurry).

This is a really bad self-insert DLC idea done on the MEFF wiki. The whole thing screams "aspergers" in the worst way possible. And coming from a guy who was diagnosed at age 9, that's saying a lot. masseffectfanfiction.wikia.com/wiki/Davies_DLCI swear, I feel like I'm reading a really crappy Uncyclopedia article. It's essentially the Mass Effect fanfic equivalent of Sonichu.
