I've not seen him act so I can't say, but looking at him has got that Arthas look, I wouldn't be surprised if he bulks up a little either

Well aparantly the Warcraft film will take palce round the First War, so two decades before Arthas does his people killing shenanigans. Clancy Brown also played the role of Thrall in a cancelled Blizzard Warcraft game so there is some trivia for ya.

Am I the only one who can't stand that balding toad that calls himself a huscarl? I swear I envision various demises for him every time he's on screen.

Right from the first episode I was wishing bad things on him. I was not aware he was actually stated to be a huscarl, but his role fits. He was never far from the Earl's side and cleaned up after him. But he was a coward through and through. never once thought for himself and never took any action that represented and danger to himself. Shooting a man who is 100 times the warrior you are in the back with a bow does not a brave man make

Nor does executing a man by stabbing him while your larger mates hold him back or by having your mates shove him face-first into his own forge.

Yeah that too, not to mention that poor bugger was a blacksmith and not a fighter first by trade. Haraldson was the real twerp though. He never stuck around to see his dirty work done.

Doesn't help that he had this issue with admitting that Ragnar was right. A smart man would have made amends and try to take advantage of the newfound wealth, but nooooo; he had to go on an ego-fueled power trip.

That part made sense and was explained in his words later in the season. Spoiler tag in case you have not seen the full season yet. He could not publicly acknowledge Ragnar was correct about his trips west or his beliefs about the the lands there because he was too conservative to risk his own boats on the venture and too concerned about losing followers and support should he back a younger man on the move up.
It was dangerous to back Ragnar but is was also dangerous to oppose him without finishing the job. he chose the safer path of opposing Ragnar because he was too comfortable in his position. It could easily have gone the other way but that is not how the legend goes.
Age and caution vs youth and brash vision. Quite a few themes really in this season. Harladson's actions made sense from the mindset of a guy who was trying to hold on to his power inthe face of a younger man in a merit based society presenting a challenge to him. He was still a sanctimonious punk though.

On another note, more reasons why I heart Lagertha.
When she's prepping to leave on the raid: "If any harm comes to my children, I'll rip out your lungs... Priest."
She's like the perfect blend of caring, fun-loving wife and fierce, badass warrior.

As Linders said, right from his first appearance on screen I hated him. Ick. On another note, more reasons why I heart Lagertha. Ah, yes... and the expression on her lovely face while she's saying it, too... she's amazing, she is... I also love Lagertha.

Her expression went from friendly to vicious even faster than Floki's transitions from silly to psycho.
