I'm actually fairly certain that both Buch and Iron are actually madly in love with one another, but are too timid and embarrassed to admit it, so their relationship is akin to Pre-Empire Strikes Back Han and Leia.

I wish I could agree that deep down we really like each other or deep down we're just the same or we really only disagree on the surface and actually we really enjoy the thrust and parry of challenging one-another's viewpoints and it's fun when we get into it, but none of those things are true; in fact it's basically the opposite.
Sorry if it's annoying. I really do try to limit how many arguments I'll start or join, and there are loads of threads that I make a point of not reading because I know what will happen. Which bothers me, but its that or fight every single day.
We just don't get on, and we both like to make big, wanky, self-aggrandising speeches.

Oh come on now, you know it's true. ;D Oh, I'll believe that about the time you write a letter to Tipper Gore sincerely thanking her for the PMRC.

That or they have divergent political opinions they feel very strongly about. But this is a good thing. Without knowing it they have undoubtedly offered education to the other party about what each thinks. This will assist both of them in future discussions with others and each other.

I already did, with the intention of promptly steal it out of her mailbox hours before she arrived. Worked, too. In all seriousness, I think these arguments you all have on here are just veneers for a greater purpose of trying to understand eachother. Personally, I don't approve of the volume all of you talk and argue as much politics as you do on here, since it's a forum for discussing entertainment media and video games, it's still understandable, I guess. Plus, I'm very certain that everyone on here means well. Clint, for instance is someone I don't exactly see eye to eye with on religious and social issues, but he doesn't exactly put himself ahead of others, and seems concerned about other people the majority of the time. Living in a predominately neo and paleoconservative town, I urge you all to believe that Clint is infinitely more rational than many people here. Buch is confident of humanity's inner sense of responsibility of nurturing and protecting one another, Iron represents humanity's cautiousness and will to defend oneself. The weird thing is, even though they disagree so vehemently with one another, I can see far too many similarities and things they have in common, even though they don't wanna admit it. Iron clearly has that fighter's spirit inside of him and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't like to admit he's wrong at times. As for Buch, I don't know much about what's going on, but I'd venture that he's had some bad experiences with some people who are like Iron, whether uncanny or remote. Maybe it's just my trait of being really hard to offend, and my ability to see the good in people no matter what, and have critical and analytical views on human beings aside from how they act or look. I get along with people pretty well, and I've been told I have a sixth sense when it comes to people, but I don't wanna own up to something so frivolous. Like I said before sometime on here, I really don't know what the hell I'm doing differently to get along with people as well as I do, but I just can't understand why there's so much arguing going on here lately. You're all such great folks, and it's disheartening to see you toeing it with one another like this. Perhaps many of you really need to find a hole in the ground for those hatchets you're lugging around. Just my advice.
