I figured I'd own up to finding freeware versions of two favorite games from when I was in elementary (primary) school. Oregon Trail and Dinopark Tycoon; many a computer lab was spent with these games running in the background, just waiting for me to complete my assignment early so I could take advantage of the free time.

I found a mac emulator version for Oregon Trail a while back and some fellow released a remake based on a zombie apocalypse called "Organ Trail"
I know nothing about Dinopark tycoon.
One game I loved and the remake did not quite match the nostalgia was the old Microprose game Pirates! (yes the exclamation point was actually in the title). I loved that old game and had the best possible career outcome starting from all 4 nationalities and working either as a pirate trader or pirate hunter even at the highest difficulty setting. I lost a lot of hours to that old beast.

For me, it's Paperboy, Excitebike and Jumpman. Those are some of the first games I ever played. I managed to get the latter two on Wii 'virtual console' not long ago, which was amazing fun for me. I'm holding on to them this time.

Warcraft III.
I remember the first time I played it. I got it from a schooltrip to France on a monday, came back home on a thursday evening and actually stayed home frioday and played it all day long. I loved the Alliance campaign, i actually enjoyed the udnead campaign and i LOVED the Horde campaign. Breezed through it all day and the weekend. Loved it. Best game in my opinion.

I totally beat Dinopark tycoon as a kid. I was so proud. And the Oregon trail series was my perennial birthday request.
