R.I.P.D. and P.I.P.D.
I think that trailer really went downhill after the 29 second mark.
Also - what a bizarre movie. It's the kind of film I would have loved if it came out in the 80's or 90's, but I will hate it now. Damned if that makes sense but it's true. And is that David Lo-Pan playing Reynolds' other self?!

Okay, this is kinda cool. A 21st century cop teams up with a Old west Sheriff to take down demons and the living dead. .... SOUNDS FUCKING AWESOME. Then again its Ryan Reynolds...

They're .45 Long Colt (think the old .45 round the Peacemaker used)/ .410 shotshell combination revolvers.
To get the gun to not be labeled as a short barreled shotgun, Taurus shallowly rifled the barrel to minimize the "donut" effect that rifling has on shotshells. What they ended up doing was have rifling too shallow to work with the .45 and yet deep enough to still throw a shotshell's payload into a donut pattern (this is very bad since shotguns aren't precise weapons to start with; making it even less precise is begging for trouble.)
Also, a .410 out of a 30" barreled shotgun is considered barely adequate for small game like foxes, rabbits, etc. Sticking it in a revolver with a 2" barrel will NOT improve its performance.
Finally, Taurus tends to have serious quality issues stemming from a virtually non-existent QC department.
But that's me relying on actual knowledge instead of blindly swallowing whatever bullshit Hollywood wants to push.

Based on the wiki article I read it is designed to fire either a shotgun style shell for personal defense against carjacking or a higher powered .45
It appears to be pretty crap for both types as the shell doesn't have an adequate pellet count for personal defense and the barrel is not designed for the higher pressure of discharging the .45 without risk of exploding. In other words it is a near complete failure of design.

In other words it is a near complete failure of design. Not only that, but a .410 shotshell's pellets just don't have the sectional density to penetrate very well. A paradox happens when I ask Judge owners if they'd give up their 12 gauge for a .410. Their answer is "HELL NO! I AIN'T USIN' NO WIMPY .410 SHOTGUN!" Their lack of reasoning skills makes me wonder how they even remember to breathe...

In fact my name is on the front page ten times right now. I feel like Norm in Cheers.

Yeah, except you're more like Coach. Wait. You don't smoke cigars, do you? I read this and immediately thought of Johnathan Coachman of the WWE. Strangely enough, some days I think Buch and Coach have several things in common.
