Richard LeParmentier, who starred in the original 1977 Star Wars, has passed away. He was 66. In the film, LeParmentier played the Imperial admiral Conan Motti, the first character to provoke Vader's Sith powers in one of the series' most famous scenes, and one of very few characters on screen who had the balls to talk back to him.

He will be missed. Looking back at the legend of Darth Vader, he was pretty damn brave to talk to Vader that way.

He will be missed. Looking back at the legend of Darth Vader, he was pretty damn brave to talk to Vader that way. Only one braver than him was Tarkin.
