I'm with Gorvar on this. Star trek has always been a little closer to sci-fi in that it asked a question of itself and tried to answer that question.
Star Wars is more a combo of fantasy in a future setting and adventure. No questions are being asked so it really can't be what they used to call speculative fiction.

Trek is closer to 'true' science fiction (i.e. speculative) and has all sorts of fantastic ideas about the future of technology, society and exploration. Maybe that makes it more intelligent. But it doesn't make it better-written. I'm yet to see a Trek episode or movie with characters, settings or events anywhere near as gripping or well put-together as the classic Wars movies.
Trek is (at its best) a series about the spirit of exploration and about how humanity might find a bright future through dedication, bravery and co-operation, and that's a fantastic concept with a lot of thought behind it. The Star Wars trilogy is a series that blends diverse influences with Flash Gordon to tell a really really good King Arthur story, but there's nothing simplistic or dumb about that.
One of the reasons I like Mass Effect so much is because it tries to do both of these things simultaneously.

Agreed with Buch and Linders. That and who doesnt want to be Han Solo? Hell I think Worf and Chewbacca would get along well, and C-3PO and Data. Throw in Legion there as well for a awesome cocktail!

Romulan isnt a bad choice, well done. .... We are going off topic arent we? then again Gungans arent hot, quite the opposite.

If you'll recall my debate of Trek vs Wars, you'll note I beat Buch with my constant reminders of how Star Wars got the shaft when it comes to the hot chicks. Aside from the random twi'lek girls, there really wasn't much going for the series. Especially since one of those girls got munched by a rancor and another got shot in the back during Order 66.

Princess LEIA. Princess LEIA, my lad, is worth all the girls on Kronos ten times over. And Natalie Portman was in there too. Quality over quantity is our motto at House Wars.
I know we're in danger of having the exact same debate twice here - but LEIA.
The best Leia ever.

Lol. Well where I come from, we call that a sexist double standard. The way I see it a 'village bike' is somebody confident and socially competent, and who is probably good in bed. Give me two fire-breathing space princesses. Any day of the week. (She did kiss her brother though, like twice. That's not attractive.)
