OK.
Due to a few personal mishaps in the past week or three Buch and I decided to create a new home for political, religious, legal and whatever other kind of controversial junk that people like to disagree on in one convenient place. This way people who actually like to argue and debate this stuff know where to find it and people who don't know what part of the forum to stay out of.
Let me make this very clear. This is not set up to be some kind of battleground for flame wars. The standard site rules still apply, respect the other members as you would like to be respected. Buch and I both will be available to assist with any concerns between members though I hope that will not be needed often.
Any posts of a political or editorial nature not to do with gaming or writing should go here. Any that are made in other sub forums that belong here will be moved here.
Otherwise carry on as usual folks.

There was a bit in one of my favourite novels, Red Dwarf: Better Than Life, where a computer and a toaster with artificial intelligence are alone in space for hundreds of years. Due to budgetary reasons and hardware damage, both of them have the same level of intelligence, but have been programmed with different opinions and priorities. The computer has religion built-in by his manufacturers in order to make him servile to humans, and the toaster (being rushed and cheaply made) has a limited knowledge but also no restrictions on his behaviour - except one: the toaster is programmed to offer toast at all times to anybody in his presence, even a computer, using any method of persuasion he deems appropriate. Eventually, after years of hating one-another and trying to switch one-another off, they come to an agreement: Never discuss religion, politics or toast. I wanted to add 'and toast' to this board's title but I thought nobody would get it. -- I'd like to repeat what Linders said - this is not a board for yelling at each other with no holds barred. Keep that to private. But in this board please be civil, respectful and understanding. And as well - please don't feel unwelcome. Bring your opinions and please share. This is not a private club. We're just keeping the controversy and seriousness in one place.

OK. I think it's time for a bit of an update here. While we do not have a formal set of rules and regs on the content of posting here I assure you that Proboards does. What I really need to see stop here and now is any posts that imply desire to or wish violence on people whether they be members of this board or subjects of conversation. Around this time last year this board was knuckle rapped by Google for a comment posted by a member and it looks like we have not learned our lesson. Details here. There have been several instances more serious than the one that created that event last since. Effective today it stops. It's upsetting a couple of members and could threaten the existence of this board. this is not censorship but actually following the terms and conditions we all agreed to when we formed our accounts here. Which can be found here.PM me if you have any questions.
