This could grow to be a very long topic. The news is far from short on stories like this...

Unfortunately, the world is full of evil people... I try not to think about it too much; I see the articles and I read them and they typically make me cry.

I removed my other comment, because I was being rude. Sorry.
I... don't see this thread ending well, though. Seems like it's just asking for trouble.

For my overall opinion - I don't ever define a human being as 'evil' or whatever the good equivalent is. Real people, even rapists and killers, have much worse, much more complex things than 'evil'. Strange lives and outlooks, life histories that slowly made them capable, and yes, illnesses.
When you bring someone in for a horrible crime, you can punish or try to fix things. I see very little point in the former. Revenge is base, it's inhuman. It's useless.
Justice is a complicated thing and I don't plan to go much further into my completely unwarrented opinions at 3AM. But in my life I've talked to violent, hateful and horrible people. I never sensed 'evil' in their voices, and I never found any value in hating them. Repulsion, disgust, anger? Absolutely. Compassion? No, not usually. But I never see the point in hitting back, outside of defence.
That's all easy for me to say: I've never been their victim. But there you go.

Yeah. I'm not posting this over "Let's kill the asshat" idea, just shock at the depravity.
All of us are sinful creatures, and justice is a complicated issue. I'm glad this guy is dealt with though.
