He could've been the Joker after I have seen him in Shutter Island and the Aviator. At least for a small cameo role.Dude does crazy well.

Can the next Batman film have Robin? And proper Batman villains? And a Batmobile that's actually called The Batmobile and isn't fat?
Nolan's trilogy seem ashamed to be Batman films sometimes, I think. I really want the next ones to not take themselves as seriously. A Batman film with just the right amount of camp would be great.

I agree with Glow. Nolan's batch of Bat flicks certainly overdid the grittiness, but they're still quite good. I'd prefer it if they were like live action versions of the 1990's animated series, and took themselves appropriately seriously but were more self aware of their hereditary camp factor. They don't have to go into lengths of Tim Burton levels of mystical fantasia (even though I liked what those two did). And definitely not into Joel Scumaker levels of cheesy brainlessness (even though the badness of both of his adaptations were pretty legendary in their own positive right).
And no, I can't say anything about the Dark Knight Rises yet, since I still haven't seen it. Yes I'm slow...

I loved the grittiness of Nolan's take on Batman. Granted, I wasn't raised on the campy guy, so Batman Begins was my first real intro to the character. And I loved it.
And I liked Katie Holmes.

I think that the films were actually better for not being Batman films in the stritest sense. The third film was a bit more campy than the others (silly plotlines, Bane's mask and face, the flying god-damn bat car thing) and I think it was to the film's discredit.
That said, I wouldn't like ALL Batman films to be all serious and 15-rated like this. I'm just really glad that there are three 'proper' films which show how much potential for serious drama is in the Batman concept.

Too bad the actor who played Bane is the same scrawny bastard who played Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis.

I liked it but they didnt have to remake the trilogy in a differnt format... because they're are still alot of badguys from the comics that they havent introdouced, so I was kinda disapointed in that......

Pretty sure they rebooted that one to distance it from the debacle that was Spiderman 3. Also, the rights revert back to Marvel if they don't keep using it, rebooting it might make it easier to write for.

Not to mention the Tobey Maguire series was a clusterfuck combination of the varying continuities.

I also hated Maguire's Spidey never banters or talks smack much. I mean that is the major defining point of Spidey, he talks shit and the other guy gets so pissed off he makes mistakes.

I LOVED the Tobey Macguire Spider-men..... well the first two. Especially the second one. But MacGuire himself was excellent. I do agree with Gorvar though that the character he played was hardly Spider-man. No quips and taunts!
But seriously, check out 'Spider-Man 2' again some day. I like 'The Amazing Spider-Man' but Spider-man 2 outclasses it completely and utterly.
