So this question is badass.
A lot of my favourite games (Super Metroid, Starfox 64, loads of others) have only one game or only one good one. But series...? HMMMM. I don't really 'do' series. I don't like sequels. In no order:
- Mario Bros. So many great games, so many innovations. And all of them are still very playable. - Donkey Kong Country. I just really, really like these games. I think they're near-perfect for their genre. The original Donkey Kong arcade games are also incredible. - Mass Effect. It's a self-contained trilogy rather than ongoing series, but purely for the story and the presentation, it's legendary to me. I guess the gameplay is about average? - The Legend of Zelda. Ocarina of Time is the only one I really love, but I have really liked a lot of the others and again, they're all so unique, innovative and still playable. - The Elder Scrolls. It may the same exact game over and over again, but it's such a good game, and the places you get to explore are like nothing else.

System Shock

Armored Core (the best mech game I've ever played)
Honourable mention to the Star Wars: Jedi Knight/Jedi Academy series.

call of duty medal of honor battlefield sonic the hedgehog gears of war Just so you know, saren, Mr. Glow is the undisputed King of Sarcasm o this forum. Anyway. 1. Elder Scrolls 2. StarCraft 3. WarCraft (I like the setting and universe, but can't be bothered to play the MMO) 4. Mass Effect 5. System Shock Honorable mentions: Assassin's Creed - Great series with great settings, but overall plot and conspiracies got too convoluted and forced. Half-Life - I've met few people who don't agree that this is a great FPS series. Not my favorite, but still damn good. Command and Conquer/The Tiberium Series - Great, gritty dark Sci-Fi with a good mixture of religious and philosophical motifs mixed in with 80's gung-ho militarism. Kane is a badass villain. EA kind of screwed it up, as the company usually does in all its short-sighted glory. S.T.A.L.K.E.R - A huge mixture of paramilitary action adventure, Sci-Fi, fantasy, and horror. All three games take place in Pripyat, Ukraine and have a surprisingly good story.

Let's see -
Obviously, Mass Effect
The Elder Scrolls, my favourite being Morrowind
Baldur's Gate
Starcraft
And then I've got a tie between Warcraft (II & III - wouldn't touch WoW with a stick), and - let's go back 20 years: The Legend of Kyrandia trilogy. I had played these games as a teenager countless times.

The only two game series I've played are:
The Mass Effect Trilogy
and
The Elder Scrolls (Oblivion and Skyrim)
Both series are awesome.

I can think of a few:
1. Mass Effect - what else? 2. Dragon Age 3. Fallout 4. Elder Scrolls - Especially Skyrim. Not a big fan of the number of sidequests, though. 5. Dead Space

4. Elder Scrolls - Especially Skyrim. Not a big fan of the number of sidequests, though. But Skyrim has infinite quests (and dragons), man. How could you hate that?
