I hate to be the downer on this, but I'm really not enthused by these trailers...
HOWEVER. The arrangement of the theme tune there - loved that! Jurassic Park always had the best theme tune ever.

How is it I'm bumping this thread and not Gorvar? It was ok. Better than Mad Max because it knew it was cheesy and ran with it. Pterodactyls: Tell me, why did the pterodactyls' attack the crowds? I mean, the reason Pratt gave for Indominous being a problem was that it had no socialization, which shouldn't have been a problem with the Pterodactyls. Kingpin was ridiculous in his "I will make a villainous profit off of your creation" routine.

Kingpin was ridiculous in his "I will make a villainous profit off of your creation" routine. I have not seen it yet, but since I have an insatiable curiosity about Spoilers, I clicked - and here's my thought based on your question, but having not seen the movie: Maybe they attacked because they are prehistoric creatures from a time when every breathing thing is either prey or a potential threat? Nature vs. Nurture, and all that? Also, it might just be a movie-thing - as audiences want to see dino-violence, that's what people expect, so that's what film-makers give us? Again, as I've not yet seen this movie ( haven't had time yet, with all the wedding planning and financial stress related to that), this is only a guess - maybe once I've seen the movie I'll form a more detailed opinion... Also, I am rather excited about seeing this - and seeing Vincent D'Onofrio in this - he's really a great actor, and I always enjoy watching him in any role I've seen him in.
