Aw, that's pretty nice. I think you'll be a great godfather, dude.

I just got a phone call from my old supervisor in the military. His second son was born a couple weeks ago and I've been appointed to be the boy's Godfather. Hugely humbled here. Congrats Iron. That's one hell of a reaffirmation of friendship there.

So... I got tagged for nightwatch during a major military exercise. I kicked enough ass that my commanding officer flat out ordered me to take a four-day weekend (the exercise ended yesterday and today was my first day off in weeks).
As a bonus... my CO is a Navy Commander whose name is Shepard and she literally told me: "Airman, I'm impressed with your work. So much so, that I'm giving you a direct order: you are to rest and recuperate for 96 hours. I do not want to see you in this office until Monday morning. Just do me a favor: don't set any cop cars on fire by throwing bottles of ryncol at them and then joyriding in them while they're still on fire. Dismissed."
Bottom line: I can legit say that my boss is "Commander Shepard" and have direct orders from her to live it up within reason.

Does that make you Garrus? Because if it does, that's rather awesome.

Survived another round of Tornado Alley. The critters and I have had enough of the area now. And the real tornado season doesn't begin for two more months. It's hangover time. On the plus side, this is one of the dogs I have recently helped get out of local high- kill shelters and into great new homes. Her name is Winter Dawn. And while she is a four month old puppy now, she is going to be HUGE.

Oh, what a cute puppy!
I hope she's okay now...
I love that you do what you do for animals - the animals are so blessed to have someone like you looking out for them...
And I hope you and your furry and feathery friends are safe now - I'd seen in the news that the first tornadoes have spun... I hope you don't suffer through another round of what hit your area last year (or was it the year before? Time flows so weird for me these days)...

Rather minor, but I finally got around to grabbing the DLCs for ME2. Was about to get ripshit pissed off for not being able to download Zaeed at first, but while preparing to make my displeasure known to EA, the issue resolved itself.
So minor win there

Getting those Cerberus network DLCs were a bit of a nuisance even when it first came out. I can only imagine the idiocy involved now.

I choose to think that EA somehow realized they were about to be on the wrong end of a pissed-off Spectre and resolved the issue before I could get ahold of them.
