I could offer my assistance with beta'ing, but I cannot guarantee how long it would take me to get it done... Normally when I'm not too busy with life business in the Offline World, I can get it done pretty quick but lately life has been throwing a lot at me, so I've been kind of slow these days... Let me know, though, if I can be of assistance; I would not mind... Thank you very much for your kind offer! I would like to ask your help with this topic's story if you are willing And when you have the time of course.

No problem - I am starting to have a little more time lately, but not a whole lot with the holidays coming up... just let me know what you need me to look over, send it to me through PM and I'll get to it when I can...

Thanks Lily I'd like to ask you guys something. I'm currently in the data collection phase of a new project and I'd like to know what the community's reaction would be if I included parts of a language of a different species of Mass Effect? I've created a prototype for it a while ago, and I'd like to use it in my next story. But, obviously the lore does not extend to where I wish to go. My question is this: Would it ruin, or add to the appeal of a novel?

I'd be carefu; with new language. It can work... as Tolkien's did. But Tolkien not only used it, he wrote the entire lexicon for it.

I should also mention that the Babelfish translation thing that is used in universe nearly makes other languages irrelevant. Everybody gets their translation nearly seamlessly and without loss of context. I actually have a slight lore issue with the use of words like "Boshtet" and "Keelah'Selai" in universe as the translation apparatus should be effecting how the listener hears it.
I like the colour it adds but it can be problematic if not done right.

I don't wish to go into details about the reason for including a language, but I assure you, I've taken the automatic translation into account. Well, I guess I'll try to get some people to read it before I publish it.

Say no more then.
Clint's caveat still applies. There is no lore to contradict here so go nuts. Just make sure it makes sense.

I would actually be interested in seeing the language in question, if simply for my own curiosity... it sounds like a good idea; but I do see how the auto-translate thing in-universe might make that a wee bit wonky...
But I have always been fascinated by languages in general!

Ok, thanks for all the feedback I'll try to make it right. Back to work.
