I do! I'm sure I have done in public, too.
I have to say, the endgame (I mean the final events, not the send-off) of Jade Empire is excellent, and I loved the comedy bits over the credits. "The Walk of Maiming."
I would love a Jade Empire 2. That game was wonderful, for all its faults.

EDIT: Gorvar, that made me laugh AND shut up. xD

My favourite moment in Jade Empire: Immediately following the end, we hear the villain making fun his own script.

What was jarring about Mass Effect 3 ending is that everything leading up to and including Anderson's death was near masterful. Then a poorly explained plot device arrived, invented I think by the greeks around 3000 years ago and took a big piss on all the lore and story building that occurred before that moment.
Jade Empire did not give any expectati0n that the ending was going to be any more fulfilling or profound than any other game, but Hudson, Walters et al said this was going to be the definitive and fitting ending to a great trilogy. I don't disagree with your lengthy essays on the subject Buch, but the execution of their concept was terrible. The extended cut does not make it as much better as it could have been if they had just put it in in the first place.
If you hype the shit out of something, deliver, or it blows up in your face. I expected a normal ending from Jade Empire. I got a nice epilogue (text based but it got the job done) and some humourous credits.
In Mass Effect 3 I got a multiple choice question on which colour I wanted given by a cheap deus ex machina hand delivered by a MacGuffin.
Conceptually, assuming you were right in your essays Buch, ME 3's was better. Execution though, Jade Empire blew ME 3 away.

Wrong, as usual. But the fact that you read the essays makes me happy.

Wrong, as usual. But the fact that you read the essays makes me happy. Just give it a rest Buch. I didn't even bring up ME 3 ending this time. You made me take yet another piss on it because you "didn't understand" why I didn't yell about Jade Empire's ending. Jade Empire did not have a 3 game build up and excessive hype. Plus this forum didn't even exist then. Any upset I did have would have gone away. I contend that reusing the same art assets with a different color scheme is quite a lot more lazy than a text slideshow. As this is a stated opinion, you may disagree but you cannot say that it is wrong. Any further baiting about ME 3s ending will relult in us bickering in PM. We've cluttered quite enough threads on this pointless exercise.

Sorry, JK. I was trying to be funny with the 'wrong', not genuinely argue and certainly not looking to annoy you. But I shouldn't have brought it up.

Damn, these are just not lasting very long lately *throws out broken sarcasm detector* I must be tired.
I blame work. I'm extra annoyed at everything lately so no worries Buch.

I can't remember a dang thing about Jade Empire. I do remember I played it just after finishing up KotOR 1 and 2 - excited as all hell to play another BioWare game. More or less finished it in one sitting and wasn't supremely impressed. Little things like selecting a character instead of making one tarnished the whole thing for me, I think.
Just got it on PC though a few weeks ago, so I'll have to give it another honesty try. Though I'm pretty sure I played it twice! Wacky.
Basically, Knight is right because Fallout: New Vegas has the best ending of all time with Lonesome Road.

I actually have much fonder memories of Jade Empire than KotOR 2. But I think it really is just personal preference. It was the music and setting, more than anything. It happened to hit my buttons.
