Thing is, the guy who played Giles does sound like that in the BBC show of Merlin where he played Uther. As for good looking, well i think im pretty damn good looking but hot? Neah.... Bet you all three to one you all think im a dinosaur hybrid. I do think Summer Glau is fine though, hooobooooy! and i cant believe I just derailed an entire topic by quoting Firefly. It just doesnt die, does it? Also i checkd out Nathan Fillion in Castle, he is the show's major actor in there. i mean he is the only reason im watching it. Because he was Captain Reynolds and also one dude in the Halo games. He also was the VA for Steve Trevor in the recent direct-to-dvd Wonder Woman animated movie. Many lulz ensue. The movie also features David McCallum (Ducky from NCIS) in a brief cameo role as the voice of Zeus.

I'm not playing Jade Empire, Linders! I'm confused. Maybe you're the one who is confused. I cannot recall suggesting you should play Jade Empire. Having said that, it's worth one, but really only one playthrough.

Well....okay, maybe.
Wasnt it you who kept posting Jade Empire videos a small while back?

Well....okay, maybe. Wasnt it you who kept posting Jade Empire videos a small while back? I did, but only to prove a point to Buch whom for some reason believed there was no difference in the cinematics on the endings. That all the differences were text based. He was wrong and I was right of course.

I think I'm being misquoted here. My memory of Jade Empire isn't nearly good enough to claim what the cinematics looked like.

Buch Buch Buch, why must you make it so easy... There was one Englishman and it was John Cleese. Everyone else was mock Chinese. Jade Empire's two endings had closure and made sense, but they were *entirely* text. That's pretty lazy. How did I misquote this exactly?...

Oh okay - you misnderstood my exaggeration. You see, when I say things, I mean something along the same lines but very different. Seriously though - I wasn't talking about the cinematics at all, but about what happened afterwards. I was saying that it was lazy and disappointed me a lot how all the plotlines were wrapped up in a sheer wall of text, rather than animated scenes or recorded dialogue.

Well, JE was never one of their flagship games and by the time it was ported to PC so i could play it they were tits deep in making Mass Effect. Walls of text is how they used to wrap up games and most games invoking choice still do that.
Fallout NV was not much better with the slides and narration. But really, how much do we need? where do we draw the line? Plotlines were resolved and stuff made sense without a patch. I could name certain other games that failed there but...yeah.

It just... really gets to me that you didn't like Mass Effect 3's ending, but you like the one where it's just text lazily describing various unrelated, cliched, anticlimactic endings. "Black Whirlwind did some stuff and went to the East or something and remained an amusing psychopath. Sky and Wu lived happily forever and got married and flowers. Hou continued to live in misery. Dawnstar got her own place. The end." It just sucks all the epic out of it, for me. Like if a concerto ended with a guy humming.

You have got the fight against Li before them and the hilarious stuff during the end credits after them. That makes up for the text prologues, if you ask me.
Also, Dragon Age: Origins used them and nobody complains about that.
