I'll start this by saying that I quite like the ending to Mass Effect 3. I'm certainly disappointed, but... I think it's not bad. That said, prepare to loathe Casey Hudson in a way you never thought possible. I don't have the actual interview, but this article gives you the gist of it. Basically he has made a statement about fans' reactions to 1) the ending and 2) the DLC controversy. The gist is - 'our fans are rabid morons and they can all go drown themselves'. Bye, Casey. www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-03-14-bioware-responds-to-mass-effect-3-ending-furore

Gaaaaah. >.<
Personally, this seems like the Dragon Age 2 approach all over again. Don't acknowledge mistakes, don't discuss mistakes, and don't address the fanbase until everyone's had a chance to give them money.
A lot of people on the BSN forum are convinced that BioWare will make a statement regarding the ending and all the negative criticism soon. If it turns out they do change the ending and charge money for it, I'm gonna be a sad panda. That will literally be the worst thing BioWare have ever done.
But I'm still on a wait and see policy with them. I still love the game, and I think the ending could be good with a bit of tweaking, but we'll see. I notice his statement was intentionally vague, so I'd like to see what he says in a more candid environment.

And the interview might have been given before everything kinda exploded. Right now, I don't think I've seen anything from any BioWare employee about the endings. They've been unusually silent. Probably thinking up the best way to defuse the situation. That "Retake Mass Effect" charity drive is up to $40k presently. xD retakemasseffect.chipin.com/retake-mass-effect-childs-play

Sadly if they do do anything about the ending I'm afraid this will probably happen... *sigh*

The part that upset me about the interview was when he said the fans are 'starting to get it' and 'starting to see common sense'. I call that an insult. I wanted to slap his face, there.

Unforgetable ending eh? Well...yeh, but it's very different. It's not unforgetable like your first kiss or falling in love, no it's unforgetable like the asshole who kicked you in the balls and stole your money.

an apt comparison, but I think it's more akin to the friend who hung out wit you for 5 years and then all of a sudden kicked you in the "daddy bags" and left town so you couldn't answer "why?"
