WARNING - SPOILERS - WARNING!!!
With that out of the way... Did anyone lose Garrus on the ME2 Suicide mission, and following that did you play the Palaven/menae mission yet? I'm wondering who they replaced him with.
I'm guessing Zaeed was supposed to be the Blue Suns guy, but because he died in my first playthrough (A total rip off I tell you, it said someone with combat experience should lead the team!) some idiot named Vosque is in charge.
Thane's Cameo was kind of cringe-worthy. Not a question, just a fact. "I'll watch over Ashley is physical therapy class?"

I'm wondering who they replaced him with. Who'd be stupid enough to import a save with Garrus dead, anyway? Zaeed always gets his crew killed, which is why you should never pick him as the squad leader. How come he's dead, anyway? Did you only play the game once, or did importing a perfect save seem too much like cheating to you? I've heard he has a bigger role later on.

Well I don't know. That's why I asked...
And this is my first playthrough. I have 8 set to go (well, 6. 2 are for Mock Effect). The first one lost Zaeed and Mordin (it said tech expert!), the second (femshep) lost Mordin & Jack, and the third lost nobody but I gave Legion to the Illusive Man. (It was a renegade option!) Since then, perfect saves.
That would be good. I enjoyed Jack's cameo and Wrex is awesome as ever. Kasumi was alright...

The only person I have dead is Wrex. He got replaced by another Krogan diplomat, Urdnot Wreav. xD
If I had to guess, I'm thinking maybe Corinthus, er that one turian you help out before Garrus shows up? But I've been wondering about all this myself! There seems to be a lot of missions they'd either have to not let you play or replace with other characters if you let anyone die in the suicide mission. It's a tad staggering.

Well, Apparently I didn't lose Mordin first time out. Or I get retconned. Have to boot up ME2 when I get home from work to find out.

Well Udina got retconned back into the Counselor job. Turns out the first playthrough I lost Legion and Zaeed.

So I finished the Rannoch Mission (either last night or this morning, not sure which) W/o Legion 2.0 (he died on my first playthrough). Being that my first guy was a straight paragon, I had to let the quarians die. Holy shit that was a sad scene. My question is if anyone who has played through and had the original legion along for the ride (and they make it very clear I didn't have him) are there other options than kill all the quarians or all the geth?

You can take a third option and save both but then Legion dies. The conditions are hard to meet if I read correctly.

Yes, and this is the one that I got. =D
You have to allow Legion to upload Reaper tech to all of the Geth on the planet, essentially giving the entire race self-awareness. But doing so requires a "personality matrix", or something, so Legion uses his own, killing him. Both of the races are essentially united afterward.
A few other little things happen there, too, but I don't want to spoil it - just in case.

Several of my friends got the quarians killed and weren't able to get both them and the geth.
I got them both and I didn't think it was that hard to get. So Im wondering how is it hard to get both of them?

I think both Tali and Legion have to be alive, you have to have high influence to get the "Persuade" response, and it's possible that you had to help out the Geth with Legion in ME2.
If there were any other conditions, I can't think of any. =(

I got both fleets as well, did both the side missions before hitting the Reaper base. It did help the reputation bar was high. How does Wreav go about with the Krogan and Eve? My Femshep is up next after my current male shep who decided to look like Samuel L Jackson after a import gone awesomely wrong.
