I thought I'd start a new thread in preparation for the Mass Effect 3 demo coming today.
I have time to play it immediately, so I'm very excited.

I'm not going to play it. I learned my lesson after the DA 2 demo.

I loved it. if the rest of the game is like that, I will be extremely happy.
And it doesn't hurt that absolutely all my favourite characters (plus James Vegan) were there. This is either a very crafty demo, or a good game.

Bastards are showing favoritism to the xbox again as per usual. The PC demo won't be out until later today.
Why should they get my business at all if they are going to keep treating me like an afterthought?

I just did a quick runthrough as an Engineer, and while it's better than the Dragon Age 2 demo by a longshot, two things bothered me:
1) It was pretty short. (Though that may be because the multiplayer half hasn't gone live for the general public yet)
2) Does Wrex have a brain tumour or something? I can't recall him ever acting so stupid/recklessly in the first game, and there must be an explanation for it.

Wrex was pretty reckless in the first game, sure. He failed to tell Shepard his prior information about Saren, he shot Fist without warning, he nearly shot Shepard over the genophage.
Plus, this 'krogan female' (pretty sure it was a drag queen) seems to be a matter of enormous importance to his people.

I guess. The jumping-out-of-shuttles foul mouthed Wrex just seems quite different from the one who would just chill out on the Normandy and semi-seriously entertain eating people as a solution to most problems. Not to mention how he mellows out after becoming Overlord or Chieftain or whatever in ME2.

Guys, about how long does the demo run?

Maybe fifty minutes at the very longest?

Demos these days are always shorter than a twist of siberian tobacco.
Anyway, I won't be playing it. I've been avoiding the hell out of Mass Effect 3 news and media, just so I can be surprised when I play it. I intend to keep it that way.
