Actually, Prometheus is the movie that Ridley Scott is making right now. It started out as a prequel to Alien, but Scott has said several times that it isn't now. Then again, some of his writers are saying it is, so who knows at this point? The Blade Runner sequel isn't set to start filming until 2013. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus_(film)

Now, I LOVE the film 'Alien'. I think it's the best one in the series by far and it's easily my favourite Ridley Scott movie.
I'm not sure about this. I generally don't like sequels and prequels, but I think that alien gets less scary the more we learn about it. And now I know damn near everything about 'xenomorphs'. I could do without this, but -- man, I bet it's good!
What startles me more is Blade Runner 2! There's a Blade Runner 2?! That sound like a preposterously bad idea.

Well, Ridley keeps saying it's not an Alien prequel, even though it was supposed to be in the first place, and even though the writers are saying it is. So, I guess that's something.
But I agree about Blade Runner 2 being a bad idea. For one, the first film took place in 2019, so they'll somehow have to work around how we're not even close to having flying cars and megacities in real life. xD

If he says its not prequal, then why does it say so many years before the first movie began. As much as it grieves me to say it, they probably changed the plot due to marketing reasons or something. Maybe the producer was concerned that the Alien franchise was outta gas or something.

I like that Weaver actually made that over-the-shoulder basketball shot without looking. xD
