Guess I'm the only adept here. I also mentioned that I play as an adept when I want a change of pace from infiltrator. I'm equally skilled with either and I'm especially wicked with pistols, to the point to where I rarely use other weapons unless fighting at long range.

Adept is my favourite class of all time. Most people here by now know that I like to roll as a wizard type class first before some of the more melee classes.
But to be fair, the adept in ME2 is not the best class in terms of combat durability, it's more of a glass canon where you have to stay as a good distance in order to use it effectively imo.
I'd roll for an soldier if I want survivability in any given situation, especially that infamous part in the Arrival DLC. You know which one I'm talking about..

Arrival was crap, but *sigh* it's part of the story. You can't cut aunt edna out of the photos just because her beard was confusing.

In this case, aunt Edna has glued a photograph of herself ONTO the existing family shot, and then charged us for it! I'm just taking it back off again.
If Mass Effect 3's story requires buying Mass Effect 2's DLC, I will be very, very upset.

I want the arrival for its achievements If you want to play something shit solely for the achievements, there's another game that might be right up your alley... Anyway, I'm playing Mass Effect 1 as an Engineer, which is something I never got around to in either game. So far, I'm enjoying the class more than any of the others I've played. The only combat skill you get is Pistols, but seeing as how they're the Alpha and Omega of weaponry in all Mass Effect games, I'm fine with that. You get a nice big selection of tech skills, none of which are as useless as some of the biotic skills like Stasis or Lift, and I'm really enjoying how you get more shield strength for every point you put into Electronics.

I don't know about Lift and Stasis as useless, while playing as an Adept in ME1 (Btw, Adepts are much more roburst in their survivability than ME2...)
I went for Bastion specilisation and I've been spamming stasis from there on. It's a bit of an overkill where you can make enemies stuck in a biotic icicle and shoot them away till they die. And Lift is another useful skill I could use to keep enemies stop moving for a bit. Especially with the fucking krogans.
But engineer in ME1 are good though. Another favourite class in terms of well-rounded is the Sentinel in ME1. I think it has electronics, first aid kits, decryption and a few useful biotic skills make this a nice class to walk around and killing things, especially with Bastion specilisation. Sure might be pissweak in the first few levels but at the higher end... man I love this class.
