Ha! That's one pushy little duckling.
Still that's gold, especially at the end. xD

Ducks normally share their offspring if their are groups of females together. One will babysit whilst the others go and do lady duck things then they alternate. It should be simply to reintroduce the duckling as long as it bonds.
Reminds me of the time I was in University accommodation and two of my flat mates when home to China and I was left with my guy roommate. We smelt something weird in one of the kitchen cupboards and decided to go hunting for the source. It turned out to be a knocked over bottle of some strange substance but the point of this story is... we found a pack of duck eggs in the back of his cupboard. Now, that cupboard was warm enough to incubate because our heating was broken and the kitchen was constantly at the same temperature as the Caribbean. We seriously thought these eggs would hatch because there was something inside the eggs and got all excited. Then of course two weeks later one of my friends whose family has a farm said he'd come have a look at these eggs because he couldn't believe a pack of store bought eggs would hatch. Thats when he told us we'd been incubating three month old eggs and that the thing inside we could see wasn't ducklings but rotting mass. lol We were upset at first then found the funny side of it.

Eew, thats gross! We CAN see that our one is growing and alive, thankfully. My Dad estimates about another ten days, but none of us really has any idea. I'll see if I can't get a picture of the duckling inside the egg (if I can find the damn camera).

Awww that would be sweet to see a picture. Good that you can see yours is definitely a duckling and not some puss. lol Seriously we loved those rotting eggs for those two weeks like they were our children. lol I blame the fact that I was pretty much drunk 24/7 during that year for the mistake.

THE DUCKS ARE HATCHING!!!!
When my sister went down to let the ducks out of their hutch this morning, she found a number of hatched eggs (possibly four, but its hard to see). The one being kept in her bra is definately alive too, and has begun chirping. That one will most likely hatch today or tomorrow.
I'll update with pics as soon as I can!

Awww... they are so adorable! ^^
I've noticed the yellow duckling seem to be the odd one out of the pack.

They really are excruciatingly cute! The yellow one looks like one of those rubber ducks you have in the bath.

Another one hatched today, and the one in the bra should be on its way soon.
