Happens with finding the Citadel, first.

. I mean at last a society that isn't militarist (turian), feudal (salarian), theocratic (hanar), autocratic (batarian) or corporate-corrupt (human)... Good point. I agree with Buch that they're playing into the Space Babe trope instead of averting it, but even this discussion is getting me to look past that. They seem like a society that would value artists. Or writers, for that matter. I wonder what their stance would be on copyright laws.

Somebody has to have the most advanced society. Humans are clearly gonna be el top dog after Mass Effect 3, even in the Paragon ending. Rounding up the lessers and launching them into the sun will merely be optional.

Hrm. Humans, or the Alliance? That's not always the same. I heard, third-hand, that there will be options to play against the Alliance in ME 3. I sure hope so. You know what their polity is called? The Asari Republic s. They don't even have a unified state! They are composed of city states, one can assume thousands of them. Good luck pushing through copyright laws in all of them

I would honestly love a Renegade ending where humanity, with Shepard at it's forefront, seizes power from the council, subjugates all aliens and maybe tows the Citadel into the Sol system, too. Kind of like a much more evil version of the Mass Effect 1 ultra-Renegade ending. It would be a nice bit of recompensation for Renegades getting snubbed for the entire trilogy.
Knowing BioWare, though, the Renegade ending will be exactly the same as the Paragon one, except Shepard'll be scowling and maybe something will blow up.
You can't trust developers firsthand, let alone secondhand, either.

I don't think subjugating other peoples really helps humans, either. I just want to blow up the Alliance!

4 out of 9 possible LIs are aliens. So, statistically for at least 44.4% of all Shepards aliens are people.... see, statistics do solve everything Nah, I say blow the Alliance up, and humanity's worlds can join the Asari Republics or something

I'm hoping for... let's say three GOOD endings, rather than a million options for mediocre ones, you know?
I certainly would like to turn against the Alliance though - make Shepard some kind of all-powerful political figure, maybe even take over Cerberus. It would be good to finally feel like Shep was respected and influential, after the last two games with the Principal yelling at her every five minutes.
EDIT: And of course aliens are people. ;D

I'd like to see humans becoming more powerful/respected through fear. Rather then military or political force. Might be a good setup for the Mass Effect 4.
Suddenly, human politicians notice they seem to be getting they're way easier then before the reaper invasion. After some thought (and a lot of cultural espionage) it is learned that a majority of the non-human populations are afraid of humans. We did take down an ancient race of super robots who've been raising cultures like crops over the last few millenia. And, seeing as how numerous reapers were destroyed on Earth, we'd have a LOT of advanced technology.
Not to mention Shepard made leaps and bounds toward an alliance with the krogan. I'd say humanity's future is so bright we have to DLC space shades.

Except that the Reapers primary target seems to be earth. Even if the planet is saved, guess who will be economically gutted at the end of ME 3?

Being a megalomanic world destroyer is far, far more important than romance! But yeah, if Shepard is really that into aliens, I could see them extending a "I won't murder you and your family" card to his/her LI.

I think they might get a little upset that their entire race was wiped out though. So you may as well kill your LI too. After you get the cookie. Aliens aren't like humans. They probably wont see being the last of their species as being an opportunity like some of us would.
