Geth, so I can make ERROR 404 jokes and stuff. Also I want to know more about the Geth.
And I assume they'd be immune to a lot of environmental hazards like the Undead in WoW.
And If they did make a Mass Effect MMO, and it wasn't completely terrible, I'd play it. After it was out a month or so to ensure it wasn't completely terrible.

Well I don't have a PC that can run it. Nor can I afford a subscription game at this time. So, I'm indifferent. Although it does look good. As far as MMOs go any way.

I hope it was free to play, but with microtransactions.

Well the way BioWare has been lately it'll probably have both. A standard monthly fee and booster pack type deals.

I wouldn't play a bioware MMORPG This, essentially. I'd rather eat my face.

Oddly enough, asari. Easier to identify with than a turian, more interesting than human. And it'd be nice to see one that didn'i flirt with absolutely everyone.

Asari really are hated too much in the fandom, IMO. I mean at last a society that isn't militarist (turian), feudal (salarian), theocratic (hanar), autocratic (batarian) or corporate-corrupt (human)...

A...gain, good point! What I dislike about the asari is how sexualised they are: they're the all-female race, so they're also the all-hot and all-nude race. Really annoys me.
But that aside, yeah... they're a passive, thoughtful, somewhat-religious, classical-style society - and that's nice to see.

Well, philosophic more than religious. And even that only to some limited degree. But mostly, they are a free society, without many social constraints or political dominance. And that's good. And they have direct democracy, always a plus [/partisan-hack ] And sure they're sexualized. They are explicitly a homage to what TVTropes call Green Skinned Space Babes, so they kinda have to be. However, ME executes that rather creatively: Where else is the Green Skinned Space Babes race the leading and most respected power of the galaxy? The asari are known to have few hangups regarding sexuality, yet they are the respected diplomats of the Council and posssess the largest economy of the Citadel. It's IMO a rather awesome way to play with the theme.

Well....... all right. Good points. But I do disagree - it seems to me Bioware are leaning on that trope rather than playing with it.

Asari reminds me of classic Athenes. Compare them to the Krogan as Sparta.
The asari value pilosophy, art, beauty and also have a good understanding of combat. The krogan value honour and strength and nothing else, much. I think they also worship their women because of the genophage, and there being female clans. This respect is also seen i nclassi sparta where the women were allowed to vote.

I liked Illium because it showed the asari to be capable of corporate-corruption (Nasana), shallowness (the tentacle dye ads), idiocy/evil (slavery system) and hysteria (that crazy map woman and possibly Samara, depending on how you slice it) while introducing those two relatively down to earth asari characters (the cop and the taxi driver)
They got on my nerves in the first game, with their high and mighty-ness...

Even in the first game you have Nassana and her sister. Hell her assignment is even called "Asari Diplomacy". Asari where never really high and perfect. They have bad individuals, too. But they do seem to have a better developed society than everybody else. Well, why not? Somebody has to have the most advanced society.
