I clicked that without bothering to read the title first, and when the dinosaur came through the wall I laughed so hard I cried.

One of the best scenes from Jarassic Park 1. Glovar, you should use that vid more often.

You know, people like you, Buch and pretty much everyone else makes this forum great. Even at the shittiest times, we can still took strides and make jokes (in black humour). When I mean by that, the atmosphere over here isn't that gloomy or depressing compare to BSN.
And we're only a handful here, compare to the millions on that den.

It's the lack of millions that keeps the psychopaths away. There are nice sane people at the BSN, but they are drowned out by the crazy. The mods, they do nothing.

True but the atmosphere is even more horrid and depressing than usual since ME3 came out in the BSN. Not even the Garrus Vakarian fanclub thread is immuned to the coperate depression. Normally that thread is usually peppy, if wierd at times. These days it's almost unbearable to read through at times, with the ME3 gloom hang over them.

You've been a part of that since pretty much the beginning, Till-o. I remember it was just us two plus Scarin and Zarsthor, once. Good to see how little has changed with various different collections of 'regulars' over the few years. I think Gorvar helps a lot with the good mood. He's a cool guy.

Kids are normally adorable and all in real life for the most part, but since the first chapter would be about Zahra's childhood, how would Shepard reacted when Garrus decided to adopt a kid? We all know how well Shepard deals with children in ME3 (sarcasm). Knowing the events in ME3, would Shepard be put off in dealing with children? If so, how much? While we're there, any suggestions on how to avoid the same problems like that Starchild, when trying to protray this kid?

Well, let's try to be fair here. Competent child voice over actors are rarer than hens teeth. The adults who can sound like kids are expensive. Given that the brat has less than 20 lines of dialogue the whole game exactly how much money did want flushed into this?
OT
Ok let's look at Shepard's background choices. Spacer? No real childhood to speak of there.
Earthborn? See above.
Colonist? It would be the best background for understanding a normal family, until the deadly 16 trope kicked in.
2 of the three service backgrounds show us that Shep likely was a risk for PTSD before ME 1 even started. So fully half of the backgrounds are laced with family or stress trauma here.
It really doesn't look good for any kids of Shep.

I disagree with that. In the games, Shepard shows no signs of PTSD. S/he demonstrates a calm personality under the gravest of circumstances, a forceful personality, and great leadership skills. Shep also makes a lot of friends and relates with them very well.
I imagine Shepard would make a very good parent, as long as s/he was able to 'let go' of her life-long love affair with the military.

So the renegade options could not be a sign of it at all? Renegade Shep's conduct with Conrad Verner are especially indicative of this. Also the wounds are there regardless which come out in the side quests for each of the backgrounds. Remember, the face Shep shows his crew may be different than the face that shows off duty. Shep is the major POV character of the series but we are not really inside his head after all.

Don't forget in Mass Effect 3, Shepard has been showing signs and cracks of stress that she (in my case) bottled up over the years. I wounldn't ask this simple question if it weren't for the fact that Shepard has been less stoic and the calm patient type in the last game.
I guess from the looks of it, it can go both ways. I take both of this into account and have Shepard learn to be a decent parent. When I mean learning, I mean like a typical adult who had no interest nor experience in raising a kid, but forced to adapt and learn to raise a kid due to circumstances. I'm not intending to give anyone a happy ending without working their ass off in my comic.
