Been working on the character concepts atm for my comic. After been talking back and forth about title with Buch, I've decided to call it "The Faithborn Prodigy". Anyone who watches "Gattaca", will get the reference.
So far, these are some of the characters I've managed to sketch this far. Will add colour and stuff in a simple comic fashion when I can steal more time after uni.
First of, this is Shepard in her twilight years. Since the story is going to set 18 years after the events in ME3, she'll be showing age. So I tried to make her slightly older, but not too old to the point that it might hinder her looks and contradict the lore about the extended human lifespan.
This is Garrus. Again, trying to give him an older look, this time a more grizzled and battered look, because I want to create an excuse where bystanders would wonder how Shepard sees in him. Originally I was only going to give him heavy armour only, but it made him look too youthful, so I've added a longcoat to give him a more an experienced appearance.
This is Lt. Jessica "Jessie" Authorlee, an Alliance corsair agent. She had a large build, but don't let that fool you. She's quite strong and loves to hit things and very hammy. Imagine her as the Heavy Guy archetype and you get the picture. She always wanted to be a spectre but the only problem is that she lacks subtlety. Also despite being 'big bone', she quite proud of her body. Very proud.
This is Isemene Kaltherax, daughter of the great General Kaltherax. She had pass all the prerequisites of being a spectre candidate, the only thing that stops her from being a Spectre is Shepard, who was supposed to give the final word to the council. However, Shepard suspect something is not quite right about her and Shepard kept her say on hold for now. Isemene was very dedicated to the advancement to the turian... sounds familar?
Last but not least, the Intern, the main protagonist of the story. No one knew her past, even she didn't know her past. She survived the massacre that is known as "Night of the Talons", where half of the turians within the upper tier were killed in the dead of the night. However she lost her memories in the process, forcing her to backtrack her steps and find out how she got here, why she is targeted in the first place and who was behind the massacre. There are two versions of her costume. The one with labcoat symbolises a change of status after she regain most of her memories back and found her 'adoptive' home on the Normandy. The other one was starting clothes after she survived the massacre and tried to live by within the terminus systems.
There more characters in the comic, including a young C-Sec detective who was connected with the Intern, an asari bounty hunter who was an Isabella expy and a batarian doctor version of Dr. House.
So yeah, this is what I have done so far. Hopefully I can get these concepts and story planning done before the end of the year.
WTH: I swear I've uploaded these properly! Stupid Photobucket!
