Well... Giving fans what they want is one thing. But having Commander Shepard sleep with her bipedal reptile... .....? Where the hell did reptile come from? I'm pretty sure the Quarians are primate descents too.

Buch was talking about Garrus there, not Tali. Also, about the whole "Tali is immature thing"... could she really be anything but naive and immature? She spent (however many years old she is) years of her life living in a migrating fleet. She had no contact with the outside world, and had to learn about it from videos and databases. Of course she would be naive when she goes out and actually experiences the world outside of the Flotilla for the first time. As for her age thing, she is considered an adult among her people. That's the point of the pilgrimage; a rite of passage into adulthood. So no, pedo police won't come after anyone for romancing Tali Lastly (POSSIBLE SPOILERS), for those of you who did romance Tali... am I the only one that's annoyed that the first (and probably only) time she takes her mask off, you don't get to see her face? That was one of the main reasons I ended up choosing her over Miranda (that, and I love her accent lol).

Buch was talking about Garrus there, not Tali. Ahhhh....my bad. Garrus was abit of an odd choice to me, at first, but I suppose it makes sense for a fem-shep - I can't really comment on him from a womans point of view as I'm lacking in the 'being a woman' part, but I figure Garrus would be the sort of guy women could go for. As for the whole scales thing...well, Mordin DID offer oils and lotions. And really, given the sheer range of sexual fantasties that exist on Earth right now without aliens, Garrus is relatively tame. Agreed, but I didn't feel she was that naive in the first game. Well, ok, making the deal with Fist was abit naive. But after that, she seemed to get on her feet pretty fast onboard the Normandy. And I have to agree, that bit in the romance scene was fustrating - but I fully understand why BioWare did it - there will be an advert for ME 3 that says "See Tali's face" and it will sell like hot cakes ;D Seriously though, Bioware have painted themselves into something of a corner - either show her face and have half the audience complain the mystery is gone and/or she's 'not their type', or don't show her face and have everyone abit annoyed that they where 'cheated' from seeing her face.

Forgot to comment on the others... >.>
Garrus... kind of makes sense, I guess. I mean, he and Shepard have gone through a lot together, and have known each other for a while, but still. It is kind of weird romancing a dinosaur.
Thane makes more sense, as he is more human-like than Garrus. Even so, having him be a romance option is rather iffy. He just doesn't seem like the romance type of character to me. Plus there's the whole "going to be dead in 8 or so months" thing. That'll put a damper on the relationship.
Miranda and Jacob make sense, seeing as how they're the first crew members you get, and are both human. Not much to say about them really.
Jack... well, I haven't seen any videos of her romance so I can't comment accurately on it, so all I will say is this: She's WAY to ****ing psycho for me to ever try to romance.
As for Kelli... was anyone else able to romance her AND someone else? I didn't even mean too (didn't know I could), and just chose the flirty options because they were amusing, and she ended up going with Shepard to his room.

True, true, and I agree that romancing a dinosaur might seem strange....but thats what the internet is for! To make even the oddist sexual fantasty seem normal ;D Sadly, things you can't unwatch...horrible things.... Miranda was alright, Jacob...I just found him bland even after his loyally mission - he seemed like the 1 badly rewritten squad mate to me. Miranda started off abit dull, but her loyally mission really increased her character to me. Jacob...gah, dull! Maybe its just me, but he just seemed so plain as a human being - and its a shame because he was alright to play as in ME Galaxy. As for Kelly, well, she's not really a full romance option, as far as I understand - Shep it never seen to sleep with her at least.

I was a bit disappointed Kelly didn't count as a proper romance option, she was definitely the most normal male romance option by far, between the cold cerberus operative, the freaky tattoo lady and the very young alien that has a completely different biology to Shepard.

I found Jacob bland too, though I haven't romanced anyone so far.
And I can tell you Garrus does noooothing for me. Not only is he a freaky repile thing with a giant colar, but also he's an idiot. And a silly, silly man. Going after revenge all the time, making himself a vigilante, being all angsty.

I romanced Tali. I liked her awkwardness and found the whole romance thing cute. Also I wasn't that disappointed with not seeing her face. But I still want too.
It was totally worth it.

I'm looking forward to the Tali romance. The innocence thing didn't bother me so much, and in this game she is clearly matured, and more confident and aggressive.
Damn shame about the face. If the damn player character sees the face, so should the damn player.
Damn.

Someone on Youtube said it best, claiming that Tali suffers from Master Chief Syndrome. You're never gonna see her face! And to be honest, I really, really liked romancing Jack. I was really temped to go the Tali route the first time, but I loved how Jack slowly broke down and opened up about her life. When we finally got together, it was a big Awwwww moment.

The problem I have with Jack is.... she's a murderer.

The problem I have with Jack is.... she's a murderer. So is practically everybody else on your team. And although I didn't romance Jack yet I can tell her romance is going to be pretty good. Hell I find it cool that you can have a one night stand with her or you can refuse, which will confuse her, and develop and real relationship.

The problem I have with Jack is.... she's a murderer. Oy, everyone's a murderer on that boat. Kaidan killed Vyrnnus. And heck, if I had a tattoo for all the aliens I've killed, I'd probably have more than Jack. And yeah, I thought it was neat with Jack offered me a one night stand. I refused, and it completely threw her off. I thought that was excellent writing.

Well out of the romance options, Jack and Thane are murderers - it just kinda annoys me. Kaidan, I must point out, is not! It was manslaughter at best. Neither were Liara or Ashley.
I feel like I've been arguing with you guys all night! I just mean that I wish Jack and Thane weren't killers. I feel like only a renegade Shep can romance them realistically.

While most of the Normandy crew may be killers, Jack is the only one who takes pleasure from killing. That's why I will probably never romance her. She's a psycopath
