As I've mentioned before, I'm a big fan of photography. I usually prefer pictures of beautiful people, especially black and white, but my second favourite has got to be pictures of skies. I looked out my window a little while ago and saw an amazing sunset, and just HAD to get some shots of it. I ran out with my camera and snapped a dozen or so pictures. These four are my favourites; So, do you have any pics you've taken and would like to share?

Those are good, Scarin. Nice work. I'm very fond of sky pictures. -- -- Most of my photos are holiday snaps or vaguely-arty-but-rubbish things I snapped on my phone. I dislike pictures that have been fiddled with after they've been taken. But! I was bored before work and I messed with this pic of my brother and a boat with my mobile's editing program thing. And I think the end result looks kind of cool. Kind of.

That is pretty cool, how the beach seems to almost mirror the sky.

Wooooo, I really like those photos. I'm fond of photography, too, when the opportunity presents itself...which isn't all that often. >< The Monterey Coast. Blind-fired this one out of our car window and it turned out waaaaay better than I thought it would. Up at my dad's house in La Grange, California. Looks a lot like the Shire a few months out of the year. Hetch-Hetchy Reservoir near Yosemite. In the Ratchet Inn somewhere in The Barrens. This is not in California. xD

those are really nice pictures particularly the tinted red hues on the clouds. Vivid but beautiful.

Indeed, Scarin. I love the second to last photo where it seems like the tree is kinda raking the clouds. Makes the photo very kinetic, eerie, and gives it a sense of passing time. Like the colors as well: red, white and blue, very American. I like it. xD

The French got it from us. History lies!

History, as they say, is written by the French.

There was a firework party at the uni for the end of freshers week, and I had a really good view of it out my window. I took quite a few good snaps of the fireworks, but these three are some of the best; The full collection can be found here; empresszanna.deviantart.com/gallery/#Photography

Very nice pictures there. Can't imagine it's super easy to snap shots of transient explosions of light, but those turned out great.
A lightshow truly worthy of a 4th of July celebration. >=D
