Sometimes we post stories that get read, but not reviewed. Often we only get a few reviews. And don;t get me started on how truly awful stories get hundreds while we get three. I haven't figured it out yet.
I've been thinking that what FF.net needs is a ratings system - as well as leaving reviews, logged on members would be able to give a rating out of ten. Much easier to do andmore anonymous so people would be more likely to give you feedback. (Also I could use it to compete with Knightfall to see whose stuff is more popular, which would be funny.)
Discuss.

Thats a pretty good idea, Buch. I often don't leave a review, even if I liked the story, unless I have something specific to say about it, but a way to leave feedback without actually typing something would be good.

Yeah I think ff.net should implement that.

I'll have to email them and suggest this.

You could have it as a layer rating.
Overall rating Writing/language rating Presentation rating Character rating
That sort of thing.

That'd be even better - but I think a single rating would be more appealing to the reader.
