With the Angry birds movie out, I have taken the time to look at some other steaming piles of shit that Hollywood is throwing money at. I heard a while back that they were making a Tetris Movie and surely enough it has an 80 M budget. Now there is a Fruit Ninja movie getting some concept and writing, it will probably get 200 M if this trend continues. Between these 2 and Pixels and the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot I'm beginning to feel like these studios have too much money and are just building a tire fire out of it now. Oh Jesus, and Trolls, how could I forget Trolls? No wonder Dreamworks is doing so bad when they sit on their legitimately good properties in favor of this trash. Well we still have the MCU. The Warcraft movie might actually be good. Good director and excellent cast there. Dr Strange is coming out this fall, but dear lord it's looking like an awful long summer right now.

It may look like an awful long summer right now; Warcraft is coming out in only a couple weeks, Doctor Strange isn't until November... Suicide Squad is in August... but we could always get you hooked on Game of Thrones - - I do have them all on DVD... Just kidding, darlin'... I'm feeling Troll-like today... EDIT: Oh! And on the topic of Trolls:

I'm pretty sure I was thinking this ever since they made the Battleship movie.

It seems to me that Hollywood just can't get the idea that sometimes doing something a bit different is a good thing. Case in point: Deadpool is a really fun movie that did an amazing job of staying true to the comics, a risky proposition but it is a very successful movie because it changes the formula a bit. And now there's going to be another Star Trek movie and the director is the guy who does Fast and Furious. I find it odd that so many people think JJ Abrams did Star Trek good but fucked up Star Wars when all he did was turn Star Trek into Star Wars while constantly re-hashing Wrath of Khan. Frustrating as hell.
